Just from text spoilers alone, this is chapter of the year material, and we're not even done with March yet. The question is is if Luffy is a reincarnation of Joy Boy or some time travel shenanigans happened with Toki thanks to her DF

Apparently Nika ties into sun/dawn symbolism? It replaces Luffy's usual grinning sfx. The editor's note being "man who laughs in silent" definitely implies that a sfx of all things is gonna be really important

Apparently Zunesha announces that Joy Boy has returned right before it cuts to Luffy's grin.

Leaning slightly towards the theory that the Gum-Gum Fruit actual name might be the Sun-Sun Fruit and Luffy's rubber properties are because the fruit makes the body of those who eat it melty like a wax figure exposed to heat.

I'm not sure that's what this is, but it would answer the question of how Luffy will beat Akainu.
Because fire < lava < the fucking sun
Plus, Luffy would be wielding the power packed taste of sunny D.

This really gives me the vibe of the actual Joy Boy from 800 years ago possessing Luffy somehow (probably via his DF with how much it's been talked about recently) more than anything else, with how much they insist on Luffy's voice being gone and Zunesha's wording.
Guess you can't be a shonen MC without sharing your body with some super-poweful ancient spirit.
