Mario, a red italian plumber, wakes up one morning to find that all of his neighbors have been turned into stones and bricks. Knowing what he must do to save the princess, he sets out on an adventure. After narrrowly avoiding a goomba and stomping on it, Mario hits a block and a mushroom comes out. "Mm i love mushrooms they are so yummy in my tummy" he says as he traverses the stony land, climbing through pipes and up a set of stairs before coming across a flag. He jumps on the flag and goes inside a nearby castle, reflecting on how far his journey had taken him.
Eventually, he finds a pipe and climbs into it. He finds himself in a large underground cave. As he traverses through it fighting turtles, he sees some sort of elevator lift system that could take him up to the top of the cave. He ponders about whether there might be a secret up there but decides that's ridiculous and instead goes into a pipe that takes him to another flag.
After stomping a few more goombas and jumping turtles with wings he finds himself in one of Koopa's castles. Mario nearly falls into the lava but manages to jump to safety at the last moment. Eventually he finds king koopa himself. Mario takes a nearby axe and makes bowser fall into the lava but it turns out he was a decoy all along. Mario goes into the dungeon expecting the princess but instead finds one of his neighbors instead. Pissed that it wasn't the princess, Mario takes out a 12-gauge shotgun and
Finally he was at the final castle, finally. His journey had been perilous, but he was finally ready to save the princess. He jumped into the castle and navigated a maze of pipes, even swimming underwater until he eventually saw the real king koopa. Getting blasted with fire and hammers, he expertly navigated the bridge they were standing on and found yet another axe laying on the ground. He broke the bridge Koopa was standing on and watched as the evil king finally fell into lava. He quickly turned to the dungeon and found the princess. It had taken him eight tries to find the real castle, but now it was all over. He realized that now that Koopa was dead, the mushroom kingdom could live in peace. No more chaos, no more koopa, no 40-year cash cow franchise based on his adventures, just nothing but peace, happiness. and the princess.
