This makes the Drake Belle films look like masterpieces

(Dies from cringe)
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.My first thought was that this version of adult Timmy looks like a slightly unhinged youth pastor and/or bible camp soccer coach (moreso than he does a maladjusted manchild as was probably intended), and seeing him in motion does not dissuade me from that first impression.

Considering that Butch Hartman is a born-again Christian, that's kind of appropriate.
Watched an episode. It was... okay. Cheap-as-hell animation aside, I thought it was more entertaining than most of the FOP content we got towards the end of that show's run, as faint praise that may be. Just your standard kidcom.

They still keep treating Da Rules as an afterthought, though.
So I watched this show. It's mostly just a generic sitcom with fairly odd parents elements thrown in there. It's mostly unremarkable, but the one thing that skeeved me out was them making Vicky fall in love with Crocker. Like, she was a teenager in the original show when he was an adult. That grosses me out.
Why does Brandy Lynn, Cosmo's ex-girlfriend, look like Rarity?
Scar himself looks like foreign, weak, and with very female moves. So that's the female fairy I have seen in Fairly odder review/rant video thumbnail. I thought that's a fan character because of the weird design.

“Boom! Boomboom! Boomboomboom! Bakuage Tire! Gogogo!"Brandy-Lynn's blue-ish skin makes her look like an Anti-Fairy.
And, for those who are curious, Fairly Odder recently started airing on the Nickelodeon channel. There are rumors of a second season in the works, but I'm expecting that Nickelodeon will probably change their minds and cancel this show after one season due to its pretty poor writing and production values, along with the fact that The Fairly OddParents! doesn't translate well into live-action. They already tried that before with three live-action movies, and we all know what happened there.
If season 2 does become a reality, I'm guessing the writers will make a "critic mockery" episode in a similar manner to Teen Titans Go!. Not that I want them to do it, but it's highly possible. I expect that this show will last only two seasons, maybe three, tops.

I think it's more likely that they try to salvage Season 2 by throwing even more callbacks to the original show in. Like, have a family reunion episode where Timmy and the Turners show up, we get a solo episode of Timmy's life at Princeton, one-off appearances from the anti-fairies, stuff like that.
With next generation shows, that's always how these things go.
The problem with Fairly Odder is that it doesn't know if it wants to be a sequel to the original show or a reboot of it. Maybe it's supposed to be a reboot of the live-action movies of the Fairly OddParents, which also feature a grown-up version of Timmy Turner?
Speaking of the live-action movies, they featured Poof, Cosmo and Wanda's son who debuted in season 6 of the original show, and some of the clips from the animated intro of the first episode of Fairly Odder were taken from season 6 episodes. The question is, where is he? Cosmo and Wanda don't mention their son at all there, not even a throwaway line of him being in Spellementary School, or something. I can kind of understand Sparky and Chloe Carmichael being absent in Fairly Odder, but Poof? Even the very disliked tenth season of the original series managed to have Poof make an appearance in one episode.

No, it definitely feels like a sequel show. Starting off with Timmy passing the torch to the next main character makes that clear.
Vicky and Crocker showing up, them referencing old episodes all the time, a recurring character being the cousin of Remy Buxaplenty, it's the Nick version of Girl Meets World.
There's nothing wrong with making a sequel to the Fairly OddParents, the real problem lied with it being done in the form of a live-action/animation hybrid sitcom, when an animated series would've worked a lot better.
Nothing wrong with a live action / animated mix. This show would’ve been poor even if it was animated. It’s not very well written, and the animated parts aren’t very well done.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Somehow, this show won "Favorite Kids' TV Series" at the Kids' Choice Awards.
Yeah, pretty weird.
I don't think winning a KCA will magically give Fairly Odder a second season, given how nearly everyone hated it, and that it was recently taken off Paramount+. I was honestly expecting the Really Loud House to win that award, given the fact that show was actually renewed for a second season and is nowhere near as maligned as Fairly Odder.

I used to be convinced the KCA was rigged, but there's no way Nickelodeon would willingly give an award to a show they won't even let you watch anymore, right?
jesus i tried to watch the video but it felt tacky
New theme music also a box
