Definitely thinking about signing up for this.

How many players do you think it'd need to be viable? We suspect you're not going to get 24 signups around here.

Ah, really? If that’s true, then 16 will also work, because that’s the usual number of participants in a Danganronpa game.

Kinda surprised nobody asked already, but how would RPing a killing game work?

If the murder scene is played out in the thread it seems like it'd take a LOT of fun out of the investigation and trial portions, no matter how professional the players are being if they already know the culprit OOC it's pretty hard to keep up the suspense.

Also what happens to the players of deceased characters? Do they just have to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines?

Okay, a few guidelines.

• After everyone’s characters are introduced, the Monokuma player (that’s me) shows up and announces the Killing Game has begun.

• If two in-game days pass without a murder, Monokuma will present the motive.

• If three in-game days pass without a murder after that, the motive will be changed.

• Over the the period of these in-game days, I’ll PM each player to ask if they want to commit murder.

• If yes, I’ll then ask who they want to murder.

• If permission is granted from the victim, the two will have a private thread in which the murder is carried out.

• After the murder is completed, the Blackened will PM to confirm that it has been done, with a description of how the victim’s body looks.

• After that confirmation, hints that imply a body is somewhere will be posted to the official thread.

• After the body is found by at least three players, the Body Discovery announcement will play, alerting everyone else.

With this, only Monokuma, the Blackened and the victim will be aware on how the murder played out. Everyone else will have to find out for themselves.

As for the dead students, I think I’ll create a “Dead Students” thread, where everyone who’s died can interact with each other and interact with the game by voting. Nobody who isn’t dead is allowed to post in the thread, for obvious reasons.

It is quite unlikely that you'll fill 16 slots, yes.

There used to be more people interested in that sort of thing around here, but they moved elsewhere.

You've had three sign-ups in a month. (Four if you count our planned character who we're only holding off on because we don't think the game is likely to start.)

Even if sign-ups came in at a linear rate (they don't; they typically come in in one huge burst early on and then fall off over time) you'd still expect to be waiting several months to get a cast of 16.

You should either redesign the game to work with an arbitrarily small number of players, or move it to a place with more people who are interested in this type of thing.

I tried fandom R Ps before, usually there is little to none sign ups early on for me. Heck, i used to go on AO and do KG rps, though they die off too, usually having me and some others in the end.

Hey, have you thought about having people be able to rp as multiple characters? I think id might fill the amount of characters needed.

Oh and people can continue rping if one of their characters kicked the bucket

^that's a nice idea, probably for the better because there may not be enough people interested to fill out all the necessary spots for the rp to start
