Funny dig at the movies at the end.
Looks like the rumors of the X-Men getting new looks at the end of the season were true for at least some — but I wasn't expecting them to give Jubilee her outfit from her vampire days.
Troper Wall — DeviantArtShould we expect Jubilee to go full vampire?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I don’t see way they could do it this season and make it work. Season two however.
I wonder if Madelyne will be relevant in some way, either in flashbacks or being revealed to be alive given how much she's featured in the trailer. The black leather joke at the end killed me.
Ironically Jubilee can be seen wearing black under her yellow jacket and Storm is arguably wearing black leather
The big issue with the Fox-costume is not just that its black, but that its solid black with no other patterns or anything.
Like compare Wolverine's X-Force costume.
The X-Force suit is black and grey but its more visually interesting because it has better color combination with the black and grey mixing. Its not one solid mass of color with no distinguishing features.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Basically screams "we have being seen as superheroes from comics".
To say that I am gleeful to no end that the emphasis is now on the exact opposite is giving me schadenfreude-laced joy to NO END. Not to mention catharsis to last me 24 years.
Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...Pffft, !
You gotta wonder how soon into the show's production have they wanted to do that. Like, from the start?
Somewhere out there, Bryan Singer is pouting and grumping that he got kicked off his high horse. And it's a MAGNIFICENT thought.
Ohhhhhh, is it fucking ever...!
Yellow and blue jumpsuits all the way now.
Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...In the defense of the 2000s uniforms, if they had put comics accurate costumes then perhaps we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
Those movies got mainstream audiences used to comic tropes gradually, opening the way for everything that came out afterwards.
It's easy mocking them now but they did what needed to be done at the time.
Oof, 2019 really killed Singer's career.
Which to note he got fired over allegations of sexual harassment so don't feel too sympathetic towards him.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Superman Returns had put a dent on it by that point.

Yeah, basically his career is gone or has dwindled.
Wasn't he still doing those X-Men reboot stuff?
Getting to "Bright Eyes", I must admit I'm missed about Captain America's return — or rather how it was handled. On the one hand, I'm annoyed by the lack of explanation of how Steve got out of the vortex — but on the other, I hated Steve going back to the vortex at the end twice or even that he was in there during the present in the first place, so I'm not too bothered by he being out itself.

Troper Wall — DeviantArtMadam Web did it.
That makes sense.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAbout the original X-Men movie outfits. I swear Last Stand gave each of their suits like, a coloured seam or an accent or something. So each X-Man technically had a splash of colour amongst the black.
Like, Iceman's was blue, Kitty's was pink, etc.

Kaze ni Nare! They did, and Beast's outfit (which was supposed to be an older version) was a bit more color in it as well.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyClip of the next episode has been released
Good old family bonding right there.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I had the idea of the ultimate plan being was to infect humanity with a modified virus that Cable got as a baby to turn them into Human Sentinels. Looks like I was sorta right
