No, that's a particular variation of Playing with a Trope, and as you pointed out, Blatant Lies is usually intended to be funny. It's not a variation if it's the standard usage.

I've looked at the examples of Blatant Lies; most are funny, but I'm wondering if an especially funny example should be marked as "Played for Laughs".
