Kyle Kallgren is a YouTuber and (former) Channel Awesome member that takes various films that are far from "Highbrow Art" and looking at them through an intellectual and philosophical lens, and it’s Better Than It Sounds. He recently did a three part retrospective on Starship Troopers and how two people who lived two entirely different lives got two vastly different visions for what is essentially the same story
