Ooh, nice to see this come back.
Watch SymphogearHuh. Design is new, so this is another alternate continuity. Possibly one completely unlike the other anime
Not enough information for me to say whether I'm looking forward to it, but it has my attention
Also, staff:
- Director is Tensho. Did Azur Lane, Grisaia, Rewrite, Kinmoza. None of which particularly resemble each other, so I'm not sure what this means for Dawn Fall
- The writer, Fukami Makoto, is a bit more immediately useful in terms of speculation—Dude likes gritty-to-trashy sci-fi (and sci-fi-adjacent fantasy) and lesbians. Probably not taking place in the collective unconscious this time. ...I'd say I'd expect it to be the gayest version, but the OVA is a high bar to clear in that regard
- huke doesn't seem to be contributing at all, but I haven't liked his recent work anyway, so whatever
Also, from the new visual I'd say this is going to be high-quality 3DCG
While I have faith Fukami will make this into a fun romp, the new BRS design isn't filling me with hope.
Yeah, Rock (Empress?) definitely look like she's been missing sleep for a week.
They got the global rights for it, but Disney might put it on other services elsewhere
It's very a strange move, though. Feels like Disney's acquisition team had one anime fan on staff, and they let said anime fan pick up stuff they personally liked
Star Wars Visions must have done really well.
Watch SymphogearBlack Rock Shooter of all things for the Mouse.
Mileena MadnessDead Master's design revealed (more on site).
Definitely the most different from the initial illustration she's looked yet.
Hm, I get what they're going for with Strength, at least. Dead Master is just weird, though
Empress to be voiced by Yui Ishikawa, ZAQ to do the opening theme.

Some observations:
- Empress looks younger than most versions of BRS
- There's this interesting flashback image...
- While Black Gold Saw isn't in the PV, but we see someone here who looks a lot like Saya
- I think this is the first adaption to have Strength but not BGS? (Assuming BGS is indeed not in it)
- Empress looks around the same age as she is in the rest of the PV, while Dead Master has definitely grown
- While the focus is on the main three, there's another seven girls who look like potential boss fights
- None look like Chariot. Pity, I was wondering how they'd adapt her design
- While Black Gold Saw isn't in the PV, but we see someone here who looks a lot like Saya
- Show's not even out and DM is already confirmed gay for BRS
- Very vehicle-focused. Empress gets a trike, DM a bike with a turret, and STR something with like ten wheels
- I think STR can just turn into a tank?
- The bike is being pushed as DM's main weapon, which is kinda odd. Might get the scythe later?
- Empress doesn't seem to have a sword? Anti-personnel weapon appears to be a pistol
- Looks like Empress can manipulate nanomachines. Context suggests that this is probably responsible for the ongoing apocalypse
Episode 1 is officially titled "The Good The Bad & The Mechanics".
And not in katakana, either.

First episode aired today.
Time's been creeping up on me...
That sure went places.
The bike sounds an awful lot like Pellops 2 from Godzilla Singular Point. Now that was an AI you could trust.
And it's not every day you see an anime preempt the doujins.
More like the Starter Villain. The Big Bad is clearly the loli BRS was fighting in the Cold Open.
Right now it looks like Artemis is the ultimate villain. But this is definitely a story where not all is as it seems. And the first episode title suggests that the mechanics aren't actually evil, so...
After several years of franchise near-inactivity, Black ★ Rock Shooter is set to get a second television anime, making it the third animated interpretation overall.
