Is it wrong of me I'm giddy as hell a certain two-person combo from the Go Manga appeared properly in episode six along with a certain Black Getter? Considering I don't recall the manga EVER touching upon the fate of Sho and Swartz post-Getter-Go, the Arc Anime is already making strides to improve on manga-Arc's story-telling. This isn't a dig at Ishikawa, but, a major nit-pick I have is a lot of his manga feels rushed and jumps around way too much. Without researching, I'd chalk it up to the way his various publishers pushed deadlines, or Ishikawa just liked to breeze through his works (given how many got shelved by the cancellation of the magazine hosting them I can hardly blame him somewhat).

OK. That was pretty cool. Its nice to see they're closing some of the gaps in the original story's narrative. And doing it in a way that feels right for the series to boot.

Episode 7

In which the finale of the Getter Go manga is totally spoiled, and what some /m/etalheads predict are the Gettersaurus team pilots show up. Also, Black Shin is being piloted by a version of Ichimonji Gou.

It really feels like they've crossed the threshold on the Getter Emperor event horizon with this much focus on Shin and its divine intervention level of influence on events. And now we have what's likely to be Getter's memory of Go? Cant wait to see what they do with this.

The funny thing is that these invasions are pointless when it comes to stopping Emperor. Dragon is, in theory, something else.

Considering there's the possibility the Andromedia Country could be potentially fulfilling a causality-loop by staging increasing desperate attacks on Earth. Thus giving the need for defense, the Getter Rays evolve themselves and mankind towards the future of G-Emperor. BECAUSE these guys couldn't be bothered to try talking and warning humanity, instead of going for full-on-genocide. I grant this is a theory of mine, but hopefully, we'll get some answers on if the invasions actually are doing more to ensure the future of Getter Emperor than avert it. Yeah I'd wager these invasions are growing increasingly pointless.

Also dear God this episode rocked. Giving us snippets of the finale of Getter Robo Go (manga) and animating some of Ishikawa's best Getter panels.

Damn. Takuma was on point today. Like, he played scientist dude to find out if that was actually Kamui's mom, and then played Gore himself. It's pretty big.

So I think it's safe to assume the last few episodes will use the original theme from the original series as it's closing song.

RIP Go, burnt himself out using Black Shin as a conduit to control a spacetime rift machine.

Assuming Go 'bought the farm' at all. Those remembered by Getter seldom truly die. Hell we dunno if that was truly Go or a fragment of him brought into being by the Getter to protect the Arc team and humanity. If anything Go and Shin Getter probably just went back to where they came from since their mission was complete.

Man, this is just getting good, I truly hope we get beyond where the manga ended.

And they're still finding ways to kill Musashi.

Double post: Does Michiru exist in the original manga?

Also, if you created an all female getter team, who would you use?

I imagine beyond that one female team from Daikessen, you'd probably have to use Michiru, Kei, and Sho.

She was there as part of the supporting cast. She died when Getter Dragon went nuclear alongside everyone else at the lab.
