Yeah it’s a minor spoiler, all things considered. I’d advise watching when you have time to seriously pay attention to the screen. This show is crammed full of foreshadowing and details.

So how are they gonna pull off the whole "everyone is an animal" thing? Cause that was pretty important to the plot.
IIRC, the Root / Route manga takes place in the "real world" (No animals).

Finally watched the In The Woods movie! It was nice to see Wadakura pay for her crimes!

Starting to watch Root.
Looks like it starts with its own thing, but most of the 1st episode intersects with Odakawa being tailed by the Ibusaki Agency, including the scene where Odokawa's dash cam footage was taken.
Also includes the missing girl being reported.

Binged the two episodes of Root.
Basically the plot started 'cause Taeko asked Reina/Sato if they can scope Odokawa and see if he's involved with the missing girl. Reina takes it personal 'cause she knows the missing girl.

Huh, that's an interesting twist on events.
I liked how they casted Ryota Bando as Sato. The original (manga) has him chubby.
And someone (on reddit) is translating Route of Odd Taxi.

How'd they change it up?
Big change IMHO was with how Rena proceeded to investigate Odokawa.
A lot to go on though, but Dobu is violent in the TV show. The first episode shows it.
The visualization is not a major twist, but why it is and how it effects the rest of the story is important.
