One of the rules of Fanfiction.net does not allow "Stories with non-historical and non-fictional characters: actors, musicians, and etc.".

But what if the real person is named just by first name, not last name, and it's up to the reader to understand that? For example, a character of Marvel Comics Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence and meets "Stan" and "Jack". Is such a thing acceptable, or is it breaking the rules? And what about tweaking the names a bit, so that No Celebrities Were Harmed?

I assume that'd be fine, especially if it's fictionalized versions of the characters (i.e. Stan or Jack being gods, not comic writers). The FF.net rule is probably just to disallow Real-Person Fic that focuses on those particular figures.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
