She's strong but he's stronger

For one the person is choosing between C1 Neuvillette and C0 Furina. They already have a Neuvillette.

For another while Neuvillette is the strongest on-field DPS in the game right now in a vacuum (and I love him for that), that is a very precarious title and the most prone to being taken away in the future. You can only ever have one on-fielder, so the competition is steep. And even right now several other character can perform adequately enough as the on-field DPS, certainly enough to clear 36-stars in the abyss. Even Diluc (of all characters) is probably stronger than Neuv with a max'd out plunge-vape team.

Furina meanwhile is an off-field DPS and support hybrid with one of the strongest buffs in the game. Support characters are much better investments as competition over team slots is nowhere near as high (since you can pick 3 of them) and are much more flexible when it comes to team building. Nevuillette is always the star of his teams, but Furina can prop up nearly everyone. That Diluc team I mentioned exceeds Neuvillette through the combined might of Furina, Xianyun, Bennett, and Diluc's weirdly high plunge attack scaling.

Point being that "whose stronger" isn't so straightforward, But overall I recommend just picking who you like more as outside of the abyss this game is pretty dang easy.

Lol no, Diluc is not stronger than Neuvillette. There's nothing comparable in the game to Neuvillette at the moment. Neuvillette's strength is in not needing a specific team. Unless the enemy is immune to Hydro it's safe to run Neuvillette. Also, Ga Ming, a 4*, is stronger than Diluc in that team, actually.

That being said, Furina is a massive Neuvillette upgrade (probably his best teammate honestly) and can be used for more than just Neuvillette, so I'd probably recommend grabbing her over C1 Neuvillette if you can only pick one.

If we are talking C0 only then Neuvi is clearly the better pull. At C0 you can just throw him in any rainbow team with a shielder and he performs peak.

Furina at C0 will barely be able to cap out her buff at which point she is mostly a sidegrade to Yelan in most scenarios.

You're missing the point about team synergy. Yes 1v1 Neuvillette blows all competition out of the water but his only weakness is that he has no good teammates for elemental reactions and is best played as a hypercarry (with hydro-swirl of course). Maybe someday we'll get that vape partner to really break whatever challenge in this game is left, but until then he's reliant on his own overwhelming power.

Which is fine and dandy but still comes up short against a team where everybody is synergizing together (Diluc Furina Xianyun Bennett vape-plunge). But admittedly we are debating the difference between overkill and over-overkill.

On Diluc vs Gaming it depends. Diluc has higher base attack and a crit rate ascension, but his plunge scaling caps at 441% (level 10 talent. Technically 473% with Tartaglia but it's hard to get them together). Gaming can get 489% scaling but only with his C3, and needs his C6 for the missing crit assuming all weapons and artifacts are equal. Gaming is also burst reliant when Diluc can have C6 Bennett, and has a slight delay between plunges for your animal buddy to return. But saying Diluc is strong now makes a stronger talking point than the latest 4-star, y'know?

Not to mention, those comparisons tend to be C6 Gaming vs. C0 Diluc. Obviously, when Diluc starts getting more Constellations, the gap closes.

Unfortunately Diluc is a V1 standard banner character, so his constellations are really mediocre. Only his C1 and C2 do anything in a plunge team.

To clarify, I do have C0 Neuvi already, I just really want his C1. I was also considering C2 Kazuha as I already have his C1.

I also REALLY want C0 Furina since I have her prebuilt. She's almost ready to go, straight up.

Interesting title for her constellation, if I’m not mistaken it would mean something like purging fire.

Purgatory Fire, which ties in with the crime/sin theme of Fontaine in general

For the Chronicle Wish the 4* characters are Mika, Rosaria, Sucrose, Diona, Noelle, Bennett, Fischl, Amber, Razor, Kaeya, Lisa, and Barbara

so I'm guessing it'll be divided up by region

Also it only lasts during the first phase, which is incredibly dumb considering fate points don't rollover

I think it'll be better for Weapons if there's a Standard weapon you need (or Tighnari or Dehya's). Otherwise yeah, the banner is pretty useless.

Yeah, this seems to be for people who saved for characters or weapons over long periods of time because they aren't released frequently.

Of course, if you want a standard banner character, then this still isn't worth it since blue Fates aren't used.

Arlecchino's full kit has leaked, she's Hu Tao 2.0, no doubt about it. Just using Bond of Life mechanics instead of true HP loss. But darn, she seems married to Zhongli with how she can have nearly all her HP given to the bond of life AND she can't be healed while on-field. She does have a mechanic where she gains a universal damage resistance based on her attack stat, but I'd still demand a shield bot with her.

She seems very interesting mechanically and I'm looking forward to seeing the gameplay feels. I'm almost certainly going to roll regardless because her visuals are fantastic.

Won the coinflip for Chiori, still deciding whether to grab C1 Neuvillette later for more team options (especially if Zhongli will continue to be in high demand).

One more step towards playable Enjou!

Yeah, having Enjou now and Jeht on Valentine's seems like a good sign for potential playability. The devs clearly recognize that they are the most popular male and female NPC, and they're willing to acknowledge and tease their fans.

That Enjou one is hilarious lol.

The nice thing about Gorou is that because he scales off defence, works well with other Geo characters, and can heal, he's essentially immortal.

Yes, he's a good boy... mostly.

He scales off his BASE defense for healing and buffing, meaning the only way you can raise it is through his level. His healing will remain very weak though, I get maybe 500 hp per tick at best. Only good for small stuff like offseting corrosion damage, and his best artifact set is the Exile (which being a 4 star set, caps at level 16).

Still, outside of Navia he's the only reason geo is relevant at all. Good dog.
