... you say that, but given the most prominent Jokers of the past few years (i.e. the despised Leto and the Broken Base that is Joker (2019)), this one could be considered a breath of fresh air.

....Uh maybe I'm missed something but wasn't this joker compared super negatively to Leto Joker online? As in why they both suck.

This game was greenlit when they had faith in the first SS movie. It's a time capsule of their bad decisions.

Everything about Joker here has been widely mocked since the announcement.

From his pretty boy face, aggressively garish design even for a clown that dresses in purple suits, and to how according to the devs he's still "figuring himself out" and is "masking his insecurities".

They are trying to make Joker relatable and appealing which is kind of the opposite of how he's supposed to go.

Leto had the unlikable, hateful part of the Joker right.

He failed at being a fun or witty Joker but that's also on the script.

He was also d a m a g e d.

I'm almost convinced that making Joker prettier is part of a set-up to re-establish his relationship with Harley in a more positive light. I think they're going to go all-in on portraying the Joker x Harley dynamic as romantic, and white wash all the negative baggage that comes with it.

I also think they aged Ivy down because she's Harley's other big love interest, and they don't want the competition.

like the message they are giving about abusive relationship is quite concerning if you are right

*2 If the Joker is a good boyfriend in proportion to how handsome he is, then the one from The Batman movie will be an abuser in a potential sequel.

Joaquin Phoenix isn't ugly, but the role will require him to be thin, so he might be a semi-decent boyfriend.

Anyway, romanticizing a toxic relationship, just because the toxic person is handsome or beautiful, is nothing new.

God the Playstation Store has it for a discount which unfortunately means getting treated to a really uncomfortable closeup of Joker's Uncanny Valley Nightmare Face when ever I try to look there. Having a specific phobia of creepy faces looking directly at the viewer, this is...unpleasant.

It's only on sale for a limited time, but I wonder if it'll stick past the date (March 21).

It needs an offline mode. Otherwise it is a game on borrowed time.

checked the game store page on steam the reviews have dropped to Nice rating giving it a mixed reception, which oddly enough seems to be recent thing with early reception actually being relatively positive

By the way does anybody know how to get statistics for concurent players on Steam?
