Wasn't even aware this was out already. Since I'm paying for Netflix, I really should actually watch stuff on it.
I'm not going to watch because I'm a grown-ass man, But I was under the impression the franchise was deader than disco. Specifically the whole "tween being left in charge of a young child" premise being seriously outdated in a time where parents have gotten in trouble for leaving their pre-teen kids alone for even a short amount of time. But I guess we have to regurgitate every property from the 80s and 90s.
I mean, they stopped releasing books like 20 years ago, the franchise is dead by that metric.
But it's an adaptation of the books so most of that doesn't really matter.
40 year old guy, but even as a kid I never really took a disliking to girls entertainment. Lest we forget that even favorites like the OG Transformers cartoon while fun? Not really good.
That said, never did get around to checking out the books, but watched the very short-lived original show from the 90s. They aired it on HBO and the Disney Channel (which yes, once aired plenty of Non-Disney stuff like Back to the Future 2 and 3, or Superman 2).
As for the franchise being dead before this show? Not exactly. Has had an adaptation in GN format at the end of the 2000s which ended after the original person (*) doing the adaptation stopped, but picked up again during the later years of the 2010s.
Also around that time they started adapting the series Baby-Sitters Little Sister. As of currently, 13 adaptations of BSC and 6 of Little Sister.

Didn't see a thread for this so here we go. This series is based off the book series of the same name. For those who aren't aware the plot is as such: a bunch of middle school girls form a club to babysit. Hilarity ensues.
As for my own opinion? As someone who read some of the books in fifth grade but isn't a longtime fan of the books, I enjoyed it. Dawn is probably my favorite of the cast with Claudia as a close second. Episodes could stand to be longer though. Hoping we get a second season.
