Trash Taste Podcast

The Trash Taste is a podcast made by anitubers Garnt (Gigguk) Joey (The Anime Man) and Connor (C Dawg VA).

There's two episodes now available on Youtube, first one with the boys reminiscing about their journey on the anitube scene:

The second has them talking about what it's like living in Japan:

In the third episode, the lads discuss their origin stories:

Should we consider making a page after how many episodes? Looks like quality content too.

It already got three hours worth of content, it's more than enough for a trope page.

Newest episode, this time about a shopping challenge the boys undertook in Akihabara. Whoever loses eats something disgusting.

I can't believe the Rias figure carried Garnt to a tie for first place. Also that Connor won, because his video definitely gives the impression that he's winging it most of the time, unlike the other two who have some measure of strategy.

New episode, first guest: Abroad In Japan! And their journey and experiences workign through YT:

Speaking as someone from a culture just as fond of swearing, that spiel at the end really ressonated with me.

Hi guys. Made the initial page/profile for Trash Taste. I'm currently at work so I just wrote an intro to the show (which personally feels pretty gushy/fanboying too much). Any help editing this and actually cataloguing the tropes would be pretty helpful :D

The Internet Kinda Sucks Right Now

I think this might've been the heaviest episode thus far.

I wonder how far in advance they record these, since a lot of Twitter-based allegations have been happening for a few weeks now.

But I will say, as someone who watches Connor's stuff more stuff than the other two, I am really glad that he managed to get out of his pigeonhold and that he's open about it. Like, his documentaries about his yaoi audiobooks, as silly as it sounds, are very informative for how voice acting seems to go down, from conception to release.

I should watch more of Connor's stuff, he seems like a nice bloke.

I mostly watch Gigguk and occasionally Joey.

If you want to watch his stuff I would recommend the voice acting stuff since that's what sets him apart from a lot of other anime people on Youtube. His "I Fixed Voice Acting" and yaoi audiobook videos especially because they go into the nitty gritty of a production.

The first third of the episode is the most...cultured discussion I ever listened in a podcast.

I never lived through the phase of Newsground, but I related so much to the pain of having to download eroges in 256 .rar files

I was a tad younger than those two, though.

And my God, I 100% identify with Gigguk about his experience with Sex and the City.

So who else decided to search for Naked Attraction on YT after the lads talked about it?

Because Jesus Christ, I try to avoid using this adjective because it is massively overused already, but there is no other way to describe that as uttely, horrifically, cringeworthy.

Fucking Hell, thank God I live in the age of easy access to porn, the sort of thing they convinced the people of the past to watch.

Oh sweet Jesus, even the thumbnails make me feel second-hand embarrassment.

Having not finished that video nor having watched any of the "trainig arcs" my money's on Connor. Seems to have the most experience and affinity for it, but then again i only know about half of the pool.
