I've been fascinated for years by the evolution of radio into the medium of podcasting, the way it's adapted and expanded to fit the new potential of internet-based broadcasting and the many ways podcasts pay homage to their roots—from shows like Night Vale being formatted like a live radio show to The Thrilling Adventure Hour being a straight up ode to old-time radio. "Lonely broadcaster talking into a radio and not sure if anyone's listening" is such a good genre, too.
