In case you can't tell, the three metal boxes are (from largest to smallest) are refrigerator, stove, and microwave oven. The MARY-SUE interface will warn you if you see Felix goes near the microwave, he's not allowed to use it after the popcorn incident... the leftovers incident... and the time he got his head stuck in the microwave, trying to look through the holes in the top for any fire daemons.

To what extent should we be rolling for in-character noticing? Because out of character, I considered this possibility from the moment she logged on as 'Princess', and "The election will obviously go to me" confirmed it, but Houston isn't me and while I'd say we have about the same level of perception I also have about 300 times more time to notice things.

It's up to you; I'm fine if you want to IC figure this out on your own or if you want to let the dice decide. I've been mentally treating Cunning is how well you can lie to others, but it can also mean how well you can figure out if/when you are being lied to.

If you want dice to decide, Yuki has a cunning of 1. I won't say what Princess's cunning is, but her cunning times her die roll (3) is higher then what you would get, even if you rolled a 6 on your dice.

B) How did Felix get his head stuck in the microwave?

B) Felix was convinced the microwave oven was powered by magic pixies and was trying to see them. It's a small microwave and Felix has a large head.

C) Princess Star White did have guards assigned to her while she was on Atlantia. Given the fact that the Atlantian royal family has coopted the most powerful magic users of generations past by marrying/mating with them, a guard's purpose in Atlantia is mostly ceremonial. In the case of a real emergency, the guard's main duty is to die loudly enough to alert her or his charge about the presence of a threat.

Before I write that possibly-plot-relevant meditation Houston is going to do: The plan is essentially to look through Yuki's mind for anything left behind by its previous occupant, with a particular focus on any thought-patterns that might qualify as a person. This is something Houston has experience doing from their previous life. When they do this, will they find anything left by Yuki?

I have to specify 'left by Yuki' because Houston might have brought something along themself. I haven't decided yet.

If the timing matters, this will take place after baking cookies, as well as after their not-panicking lessons with Maria if MARI-SUE prompts them to do that tonight.

That depends what you mean by thought patterns. I hadn't intended for there to be, but this is a collaborative story.

How about this: The procedure Princess Adrestia use basically put the souls in stasis, breaking the connections between the souls and their bodies. To use a computer analogy, the 'soul' is the hard drive of a computer, with the brain being the CPU (with ROM memory of its own). Adrestia unplugged the hard drives but left the hard drive physically present inside the computer cases. Felix jammed new hard drives into the computers of the other magical girls bodies. Adrestia, with Star White in captivity, knew that over time the soul / hard drive could find a way to reconnect with Star White's body. To stop that, Adrestia hooks Star White's soul into a virtual-machine equivelent of her body.

The ROM in the analogy is knowing how to talk, walk, and so on which is why all of you woke up not stabbing yourself with a fork every time to eat or tripping when your legs are shorter then you expect.

As long as your souls are in the body, there is no way right now for the original souls to reconnect with their old bodies. However, it may be possible in dreams or in deep meditation for you to make contact with the original souls. Just as it is possible for a computer to use multiple hard drives, then each player can decide if their character will try to 'merge' with the original soul, to find a way to be returned to their original body, or find a way to 'time-share' the body.

Regardless of whether your character wants to return to her/his/their original body or gracefully merge/share with the original soul, be aware this puts you all under a ticking clock... if two souls merge, Felix does NOT have the magical skill to separate them apart and even Star White has limits to repair a bad merge.

What Felix did was a butter-fingered hack of soul magic to try to fix a bad situation. With the soul 'cauterized' away from the body, the body was basically in the deepest coma you can imagine. Without Star White, Felix didn'tt have access to the medical and magical support he would have needed to keep the bodies running long enough for the original souls to reconnect on their own. He tried to speed up the soul reconnection process and got all of your souls instead.

If you haven't rescued Star White by the time of the class elections, you're stuck and probably wind up needing a loony bin.

Question: Are we waiting for any particular threshold of... trope-having-ness or something, before we move the work page out of the sandbox?

I guess the YMMV and Moments folders could be left there while the conversation around those... I'd say "continues" but it doesn't seem to even be doing much of that. But the main part of the page looks more than ready to move.

The standards for launching a works page are that it needs a description, three proper trope examples (not Zero-Context Examples, not shoehorned, etc), and the work needs to actually exist in a public space (as opposed to being unpublished). So we meet that just fine.

Character subpages need... a few tropes per character, I think? I can't remember a formal standard being set up anywhere, but people pretty well agree that just a description isn't good enough, and character tropes can be listed on the main page until then.

The trivia subpage can be made with even just one trivia item, because those can't be listed on the main page.

Single-trope subpages like Shout-Out don't have a formal standard, just a vague idea that they should be created when the list on the main page starts getting unwieldy.

And presuming we end up allowed to have YMMV and Moments at all, those have the same standard as Trivia, except that Moments can be listed on the YMMV subpage if we think there aren't enough for their own page.

Theoretically we should crosswick, too, but roleplay pages tend to get zero attention from anyone but their participants anyway...
