For myself, today I finished The Last Book on the Left (specifically the audio book of it since I like to listen while I drive or work). It covers killers the show has already gone over, but there's still occasionally new info, like the name of the woman who dumped Ted Bundy, which I think wasn't in their episodes on him.

They cover Ted Bundy, Richard Chase, Ed Gein, John Wayne Gacy, Richard Ramirez, David Berkowitz (Son of Sam), BTK, Andrei Chikatilo, and Jeffrey Dahmer.

The audio book is mostly Marcus's narration of the written information, interspersed with remarks by Ben and Henry. Not a fan of the remarks, because they're a bit clunky in how they come up, which I attribute to a bit of "Nature of the Beast" of this being a pre-recorded book rather than one of their episodes. The book version has pictures of Ben and Henry and their text is in different colors from Marcus's.

Hmmm, feels like it wouldn't be the greatest idea to read on my Kindle, then.

Honestly I think the kindle is okay. They do have little cartoons mixed in, too, though, if your'e concerned reading it in public.

Some are simple enough, like Ted Bundy in his sling in front of a VW. Others are creepy, like Ed Gein with a flayed man version of that painting of Aphrodite on the clam.

Finishing the Aleister Crowley series and if there's any one thing that could convince me that magic exists, it's how Crowley consistently found himself involved with people with names like Butz, Bottomsley, and Uppum. (Apologies for any misspellings)

Given everything about the man if he were a fictional character those names would be consisted parodic for how on the nose they were.

"Famed power bottom Aleister Crowley"

The most surprising thing for me was the fact that he was apparently very rich from inheritance money.

Yeah. He never got his actual merch off because he insisted on high cost production.

I knew it already because Crowley is the first time a subject covered on LP on the Left was something I first heard about in detail on another podcast, Timesuck, a similar show hosted by Dan Cummins.

Technically second of you count their brief mention of the Granny Ripper in a side stories episode.
