It’s because of Film.VHS, which is spelled with the slashes. There isn’t a way to set a custom title to display differently in different namespaces, unfortunately.
A workaround would be to move the film and its subpages to Film.VHS 2012 (custom-titled to V/H/S (2012) ), but I’m not sure that’s worthwhile for a redirect.

Some idiot set VHS to display as V/H/S. This is incorrect, as it's just VHS, with no slashes or other punctuation.
However, Usefulnotes.VHS redirects to VCR. This is as it should be, but it means there's no apparent way to make VHS display as VHS.
How do I submit a request to for a redirect to have a custom Wiki Word?
