Really digging the designs of the characters looking like how they were depicted in the original comic strips.
Suffice to say I am interested in how this film turns out.
Must watch for me
I remember watching the animated series as a kid. It was pretty decent.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectLooks good. Hope it's not a cringe-fest full of hipster-meme humour.
"We be we baby!"Love the designs. Though I still think Oscar Isaac should be playing Gomez in live action as well.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Given the current cast up this point (which is just two) they all could play them live action. Though I am curious as to who they would cast as Uncle Fester? So far the actor who I think can pull off the character is Jack Black.
Yeah, that was a mistake on my part for not reading through the whole original article.
Suffice to say, seems like type casting to have Chloe Grace Moretz as Wendsday given how similar she is to Chritian Ricci. Overall good casting.
Chloƫ Grace Moretz (Wednesday Addams in the movie) dropped a teaser on Twitter.
Hang in there, because we'll be meeting the family tomorrow. (Kinda thought it'd be this Wednesday, but whatever!)

The characters really to be a mix of their movie and cartoon counterparts. I wonder if they could get Mc Hammer to sing the song he did for the live action movies in a commercial. Just like they did with Vanilla Ice for when they promoted the 2014 Ninja Turtle Movie.

(*snap-snap*)
Quite liked it.
Also, it's nice to see MGM doing more animated films (and yes, I'm aware of Sherlock Gnomes).
"Scooby Dooby Doo!"Ok, odd question, is it just me or do some of the character designs look unnerving when in motion? Like the rendering wasn't totally considered?
Like, in the teaser where the house shouts "GET OUT" at Morticia, her hair blows straight back and it looks... weird. Her hair is a lot thinner than her head. Or some really odd angles on her jawline. Some other shots of Wednesday look off. Then the normal citizens look rather... hard to look at? Uncanny Valley a bit?
It feels like the character designs look great for concept artwork, but they were quite as well translated to CGI in my opinion.
Something is bugging me about the animation and I just can't quite place it. I wouldn't say it's bad at all, but there's something off here.
The "reanimating all frogs in class" gag was actually hilarious, especially with Wednesday's Large Ham speech.
I found the original to be way better than its 44% Rotten Tomatoes score suggested - a sequel would be most welcome. Hopefully theaters are open by then.
The Addams family are coming back to the screen in animated form. Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac are among the voice cast.

I liked the animated show when I was little, so I'll try and see this.
