I am quite new and I don't know where I could I ask this. I am familiar with most of tropes, but the Byronic hero/heroine still confuses me at times. I have a female character who starts as a plucky comic relief, mouthy kid, deadpan snarker, jerk with a heart of gold, tomboy. As for personality she is friendly, immature, fun-loving, cheerful, impulsive, rebellious, troll, snarky, clever and defiant. She kinda suffers through the story from being a butt-monkey and break the cutie/haughty. After being tortured and nearly killed in a Tragedy by Impulsiveness, she turns into an empty shell due to PTSD, for a time. She still jerkish, defiant , snarky and fun-loving. But she becomes also cynical, jaded, dark-humored, revengeful, spiteful, arrogant, flirty, secretive, manipulative and developes a mama bear side. She still remains more jovial, balanced and friendlier than a classic Byronic Hero (she is a little similar to Alex Russo in behaviour, minus thae lazy slacker part), and while not that brooding, she is still torn apart by her dark and troubled past and has a massive survivor guilt. No to say that also suffers from unrequered love with another character of mine, which really is a byronic hero. She also has some blue and orange morality ( i think), for example, she could totalIy treat a villain very nice if she is in fond of him and his sins arent too repugnant, and be a total ass to a heroic character if the mood takes her. I feel like turning her from plucky comic relief into a lad-ette byronic heroine is an interesting character development, but I need your opinions if you think she can counts as one. P.S. She is also very young when her break the cutie begins (12 years old)

You might want to go to the Writer's Block forum to ask your question. And please don't post thread titles in all caps.
