Actually, IMX, fascination from painting is more likely if you're using Passion. Even then, kinda rare; I almost never get it from making magic paintings.

Which, I've discovered, are a bit of a midgame gamebreaker.

No idea, hadn't tried it yet. Going to try it really soon.

You throw the auction house into exploration verb without anything to accompany it, and then it shows you a random item that you can bid for. Then you either win or somebody outbids you and you have to give more cash.

It draws from a partially shared pool with the bookstore, so it is advisable to clean the latter out first.

Yes, there are a couple rituals up in there. But how "early", well, it depends on how RNG falls and whether you go for explorations with your human crowd.

Welp, was doing pretty good as a Bright Young Thing until Poppy sacrificed me to the Sun-In-Rags because I didn't have a friend to give in my place.

I sent my one Pawn off to try and kill the Adversary I had (they failed) and my only other cultist was doing something else a few seconds after the thing would have run out.

Damn, Auction House have limited stock it seems...a bit of extra lore books, a bit of extra Poetry/Essay books, some language books, STUMM!, and that's it...currently tried to hit the place several times, it just has the Something something DEEP MYSTERIES something book that I sold before...

Basically, if you exhaust Morland already, hitting the Auction House is a really good way to get Sunset Rite with good guarantee.

I got three copies of poetry books my last game.

The total amount of Poetry and Essay books seems to be randomized. Doesn't matter super much as there is enough of them to get all the Reason and Passion you'd ever need (and Passion can be infinitely farmed with some effort)

Aaaaand new game version borked my save...damn, guess I have to try power path again.

The auction house also has the Asclepian Mysteries, which come with a free dose of the Rite of the Map's Edge, which is probably the rite I use most of all rites in the game (even more than Sunset).

And now I am enlightened. Aspirant, Order of the Bloody Cup, Enlightenment victory, and I am done with this game until the next big update. Interestingly, I never got a mirror the whole game, so I had to elevate myself without the Peacock Door. (I wonder how I got to the Tricuspid Gate without passing the Peacock Door? :P )

Speaking of maps.

How the hell do you go somewhere else other than the Wood? I’ve gotten various other Ways burn i can’t really get anywhere else. I think it’s like Way + Passion would get you into that map, but once I’m there I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do.

The White Door wants Health, not Passion, if that's what you're asking. Stag wants Reason, Spider wants sacrifice, Peacock wants to have sex with a mirror.

(Remember, it's bad luck to break a woman's mirror.)

There's actually a tool that allows you to enter Peacock door without breaking. Also, Spider's sacrifice will get rid of your prisoner without them turning to corpse, and thus Notoriety.

^^ What ^ said. Also you can click on the card slot itself to see what you can use on that slot.

You need to throw different things after the Way card to open the path forward. Lores, your Temptation/Desire, more lores, etc. Each door has a certain thing you can use to linger at the door and get things from there and another thing to try and reach the next one.

Never entered the Peacock door in my first victory though...just didn't get a mirror.

BTW, what action does I10 follower is guaranteed to succeed, and what still has failure chance?

Aaaaand Hunter arrested me outright without catching my cult members first...fuck, I shouldn't have tried to steal evidence while already having noteriety AND is on exploration...also fucking hell my attempts to steal evidence keeps failing, even when using Caligine...also thanks for not arrest me earlier when I still have that Favor from Authority!
