Idea for a Pokemon Fan Fiction, wondering if it's worth it, and if it is, where to publish it.

So as the title says, I'm beginning to write a Pokemon Fan Fiction. I still don't have a title but the basic plot would take place in the Hoenn Region, in the beginning of the summer of 2016, as a thirteen year old boy runs away from Slateport City, named Holden Tozier, who plans on defeating the Seven Gym Leaders before summer, so that he can return home as a hero. Mega Evolution has been outlawed due to the crippling effects it has on a Pokemon's mental stabilty, and due to the growing number of terrorist organizations, the International Police has recruited more members. He lives with his single aunt, who raised him after the death of both his parents. He studies at the local academy, but he only does so that he may become a better battler. He's brash, overconfident, cocky, loud and forgetful, but he values his pokemon over anything else. Along the way he meets two other trainers: Kira Anderson, the daughter of an Elite Four member, and Damian Keaton, who's an orphan, just like Holden, and like him, ran away from home, though Damian has been traveling a lot longer than Holden has.

I seek to develop the relationships between these characters, and their struggles as they team up to take down a mysterious group of powerful trainers hellbent on world domination, mainly composed of former Elite Four members. Aside from the whole Mega Evolution ban, it isn't meant to be a dark fic, just an action-adventure story.

So what should I do? Should I continue it, should I drop it? Where should I publish it?

I like the mental instability part about the mega evolution. That's pretty new to me. A breath of fresh air.

But chit chat aside, I suggest you post it on fanfiction.net. If for any reason, you prefer elsewhere, then you could always post the story here, on Tv Tropes. I'm pretty sure that there's an area for constructive criticism.
