What is Age-Appropriate Angst about?

The body text for Age-Appropriate Angst is a bit confusing. I think the gist of it is supposed to be that a character's age (generally young) justifies why they are so upset about what seems like a trivial issue. Is this trope supposed to be about things that only seem like serious problems to a child/teen (like say, having a huge pimple or not having a prom date)? The text includes references to things that would be upsetting to adults and not children, or things that are upsetting to anyone regardless of age. Does death of a parent really belong here? That can be traumatic at any age despite it being a lot harder on dependent children than on adults. Square Peg Round Trope indicates this one is seeing a lot of misuse.

I second the Square Peg Round Trope point. There are a lot of examples concerning living with childhood trauma as an adult. While this might be a trope, Dark and Troubled Past perhaps, it doesnt feel like this trope. The text really needs to be edited and cut down. Its a wall of text right now.

Clean up and clarify or possibly cut if that isnt going to work.
