Eh, I still think mine's better, if only for showing the transition, and indicating the super mode by the cloud of smoke where the badnik used to be.
3 combined with the current is more concise than the OP, but neither suggestion illustrates the "surge in power" aspect of the trope.

It shows Sonic turning super before approaching the badnik, and a cloud of smoke where it used to be. How else could you demonstrate a surge in power comparably concisely?
