Apparently, difficulty has arisen from a need to differentiate between " bsdass people one wouldn't expect to be religious" and badass people who also happen to be religious, resulting in many examples being deleted from the real life section of the page.

as you can see, I thought I was able to justify adding the examples back for the time being, but I can see that there's a legitimate concern here. it looks like there's YKTTW for a Religious Badass trope that never got off the ground. Maybe we should just split the page.
