Based on the options I've seen, I would prefer to have Surtur in some form as the image on the NF page if we needed someone from what I've seen in the thread

Although, honestly, there's a more spoiler-ly one that would be good. As I think it's a spoiler, I think we should wait until we pass a spoiler threshold.

We could add a note warning of a spoiler that can be clicked to show a picture. I dunno I think I saw that somewhere on the wiki.

Since when do spoilers matter on NF

From the rules:

Spoiler tags do not belong on Nightmare Fuel pages. Much of what scares us comes from inherently spoilery stuff such as death and the unknown, so finding spoilers on these pages should be expected.

If Spoiler Tags don't belong, having a spoilery image shouldn't matter. If you go on the nightmare fuel page which is about specific moments in the story there will be spoiler.

Seriously, am I the only one who'se ever looked at the main NF page?

Now one can argue Sutur isn't scary. He's just a guy who's made of magma. So unless you're like 4, it shouldn't be nightmare inducing.

Even for pages with a spoilers off policy, there should be no spoilers above the example line. An image is always above the example line since it's part of the description, and not an example as such in itself (even if it usually shows an example).

There's also the issue of randomly stumbling over the page. If it's text, you have a little bit of time before you can read and comprehend it, and you have to focus on it to read it. With an image, you'll see it immediately regardless of if you're actually looking at it, which means you'll be spoiled the moment you click the page.

OK, I just realized Stan Lee's cameo may work, but I do not remember anything that would make good Nightmare Fuel.

[up][up] With the trailer for Avengers Infinity Wars coming out, it's now (mostly) common knowledge that Thor has an eyepatch. Should this affect the spoiler status of getting his eye gouged out by Hela?

The clock's up and I'm not seeing enough consensus on anything. Locking up.
