Mirari

And so, Mirari took a leap of faith... taking in her trust of those who came before her and left her the Wind Catcher... jumping right off the edge...

And soon enough the cloth filled up with air... miraculously holding onto her weight nice and easily as she glided slowly and gently downwards. If she didn't move, she'd simply be lightly carried by the wind and descend nice and very slowly... however, if she got tired of holding on or experimented she'd see that by pulling on the handles, she could affect her gliding... pulling the handles apart made it open up a bit and would cause her to pick up speed and descend faster... pulling them both tighter together slowed her descend and let it close tight. Trying to push the handles forward made her lean forward and move in that direction... same with backwards. One forward and one back caused her to turn to a certain extent.

The fall wasn't that long, however, so that's all she'd be able to experiment on before her feet touched the snow... a safe and slowly landing that left her a bit closer to her goal, though she had a few other drops to get through if she was to make it to the goal.

Enat

Indeed, a long way to go... if he had something to slide on perhaps she'd make a faster progress but as it was he simply had to walk a lot... at least, it was a mostly straight path down. However... as he called up to the birds in the sky... he may be surprised to see them respond, suddenly diving in an elegant but quick motion... getting level with him as they began to circle him in flight. Closer up he could see that the creatures seemed like small bird like sprites of icy blue plumage leaving trails of snowflakes with every beat of their wings. They looked at Enat with eyes little perfect blue sapphires as they kept dancing elegantly all around him.

Skald

Skald would find the creatures' nice temperament to hold as he took his pictures of the herd. So long as he didn't move too close, it seemed like they barely took notice of him moving about, more intent on eating from the grass and crunching some rocks with powerful molars.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

Dakàna

The scaled girl flinched away from the sudden rush of air for a split second, before just...staring at the opening.

Inside, she was battling with herself. Her first instinct was of course to get out of here, but she was...well scared, of what lay beyond. She had woken up alone with no memories after all.

.....She stood there hesitating for a full two minutes before she sighed, picked up the tablet thing and gingerly stepped forward out into whatever awaited her.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained..." she whispered to herself nervously.

Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.

Mirari - Successful Flight

Gently landing on the snowy path, Mirari looked back at the road behind her. She had safely made it across, though it looked as though it were a one way trip. Mirari took a small moment to consider her predecessors who assembled her chambers and the gifts they provided her, thanking them silently for their aid. Then she sent Enat and Skald a message.

Safely made it across; I should be down the mountain path shortly. Thank you, Skald, for your words of encouragement.

With that, Mirari prepped her glider once more and descended down the treacherous but now navigable path. Gently hopping from one stepping stone to another, she traversed carefully down the mountain until she at last reached its base. Taking stock of her surroundings, Mirari pulled up the tablet's map, seeing her icon moved closer to Skald's. With the forest just a ways ahead in the same direction (by her determination), Mirari moved in the direction of Skald's icon, soon arriving at the grassy plains, the grazing beasts, and the curious undead taking stock of his surroundings.

Enat

Distracted by the beautiful creatures flying along with him, Enat smiled a little bit. This he could do. He began with simple steps, following along with the movements of the creatures. Eventually, his body began to twist and turn with the motions of the sprites, his hands following along with them as he traced patterns through the air the meaning of which was only known to Enat.

Oh shit okay, Deag could do this! She beamed toothily as she realized she had unique info here!

You think it’s alive! It’s not! It’s a tool. Like a rock or a hammer. Tools serve you if you direct them with a swing or a touch.

Wait shit, she didn’t want to imply something here.

Touching. Touch the images to interact with them. Touch the runes to navigate the tablet, and experiment with all of the images that want to be touched when your tablet becomes a window towards things it faces. Touch them enough to feel the surface of the tablet and no harder.

Deag took a picture of herself pointing out of frame for this next part; when viewed in the gallery, she was pointing right at the button to send an image. This tool talk had her thinking. She kept walking towards the ruins while she was writing; not the best idea, but whatever, she could deal.

Take a picture of yourself just like this. Then look at it in the page that lists all of your photos. You will be pointing at the button to send images. Put your finger there.

Deag’s paws were shaking; this instruction thing was thrilling.

Skald: And So Undead and Cinnabun (AKA Future Waifu?) Meet - Grassy Hills

Skald was now laying among the grass, resting and waiting for awhile. At the moment he had no pressing need to rush and simply put he wanted to watch the sky. Waking up in a cave gave him no small desire to glaze onto the skies but that wasn't the only reason he was doing so. The sounds of the grazing animals, the light breeze, and the endless movement of the sky bound clouds helped to push his attention off worrying about Mirari's trail she faced.....and whatever or not she succeeded. His worry was unneeded though for the message he got answered his stray thoughts.

In fact, he refused to message her a reply for he would reply back with his own words, face to face. As it turned out he wouldn't have to wait too long as now he noticed a humanoid figure coming up to him and after standing up he could clearly see that she was the same from the picture. "Ah, greetings. See you finally joined us back on the ground," Skald said, voice deep and gravelly as he chuckled friendly. Well, as friendly as a mummy skelly with rocks for a voice could sound. He would then wipe off the grass that got on his robes and walk to her, telling her, "And no need for thanks. I am only glad that you indeed found the answer."

Mirari & Skald - Grassy Hills & Happy Herds

There was a small, awkward pause as Mirari came face to face with the skeletal figure she presumed was Skald. Then, her stony eyes blinking, she nodded in response to his words. "Indeed, I am glad as well to have found safe passage here. Sorry for the quiet; I was not sure what person I would find, and must admit some surprise. Though, truth be told, looking at my own appearance I felt a sense of unusualness as well, so perhaps our fellow awakened will all be eclectic." She watched the herd quietly graze, then thinking, glanced around for their other companion. "Hmm, has Enat not joined us yet?"

Skald: Oh, Spoop Reveal to the Spoop - Grassy Hills

Skald didn't move or say anything after Mirari's pause and comment, only blankly looking forward as the yellow glow shuttered up and down like eyelids blinking and the writing on his forehead temporary moving over his eyesocks to make a arched, questioning eyebrow look. "Enat is uncounted for yes," he said, sounding confused as he then asked, "But what's the surprise for? Unusual?"

Not waiting for a answer he used his tablet to take a picture of his face and then turned it around so he could view it. Looking at it, he rubbed hand all over his face, then noticed the state of his hand. He then stated while suprised by the reveal, "Well. This is.......a thing," and he shook his head slowly as he looked at the picture more before putting away the tablet, telling his gem friend calmly, "I apologize if my appearance has frightened you. Honestly, this certainly explains some things but still, I don't feel dead......Yes, I am alive just as much as you. Interesting. Both rock and bone walking, breathing, thinking. Truly a miracle."

Dakana

Dakana stepped out to be greeted by a flowing wind... fresh and wondrous. She was standing before a forested area, with trees growing all around... and should she head straight forward for a bit she'd find that this little forest was growing on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean and a nearby bay. Dancing away from the trees were quite a bit of life... long, lazily flying butterflies going from flower to flower. However, there were a few things of interest here and there... for upon the bay she could see something interesting. Tents... a settlement of some kind... and some ways into the ocean a chain of multiple small islands close by.

Enat

Enat's dance seemed to give joy to the small sprite light birds of ice... as they began to flow and move around him faster, in ever more graceful ways... and as he kept dancing he felt further invigorated by their cold, gentle presence. As if their dance was giving him strength... and speed, seemingly! His dance would help him travel as he stepped faster and faster... until the moment where the snows ended and the sprites were left behind... it wouldn't be long for Enat then to come to meet Mirari and Skald.

Mirari and Skald

With the arrival of Enat, the group would likely need some time to put their thoughts to order... but once they came together in accord, a few key features would give them hints of interesting places to go. First of all... by now, they would all be hungry. To the North West, Clouds were gathering... seemed like it may rain in that direction though it was hard to tell if it would reach them right now. There was the forest at the foot of the mountains which they had not explored yet. To the South they would see hills giving ways to some plains... and far away, a river.

Deag

Deag continued to bravely try to instruct someone with idle thoughts of eating her, in a decidedly nutritious way, in how to make use of the decidedly not haunted, yet willful tablet entrusted to her by her forebears. Her steps brought her bit by bit closer to the ruins she saw... and as she made her path there she would notice something that was perhaps a tad concerning. The ruins had seemed smaller in the distance... well, that was a given, but indeed they had seemed smaller in the distance so she had perhaps assumed they were sized for someone like her. Apparently this was not so... for the building in the distance she could now make out must have been meant for someone or something at least three times as tall as her... perhaps more.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

Snowy Mountainside

Enat danced energetically up until the point where he came across the rest of the group, and even continued to dance a bit more, not noticing where he had ended up at. It would seem he had lost himself in the dance, absent-mindedness taking over. When finally he opened his eyes, he noticed the others present, dropped the pot, and promptly hid behind the nearest tree.

"He-hello..." He stuttered shyly.

Skull, Stone, and Someone Else

If Mirari had any reaction to Enat's dancing her stony gaze did not betray as such. Instead, she simply greeted him back. "Hello. Enat, I presume?"

An aching in Mirari's stomach told her she was hungry, so she pulled out her tablet to look over her inventory once more. "Hmm... what does everyone have?"

Skald: A Wild Gem, Corpse, and........Enat! - Grassy Hills

"Greetings Enat. I am Skald and this is Mirari," Skald said, gesturing at himself and then his gem companion at his side. He then told him, "Movement like that of the wind is nothing to be shy of. Those that can step with true freedom are not to be scoffed at."

Next he looked at the forest and informed Mirari, "My rations include a box of dry edibles and a container of water but I do have a knife and it's not a stretch to state that both of you possess some kind of hunting tool, yes? Perhaps we could work together to gather our first meal?" and then with shovel perched on his shoulder and knife pulled from his pocket Skald advanced toward the forest, trusting that he wouldn't be the only one adventuring into this new territory.

Mirari - A Hungry Stone Gathers Food?

"I have a sling with some stones, but I feel it would not be effective as a hunting tool," Mirari mused as she examined what she had. "I do have some containers of food, though I have not opened them up to look over their contents."

Pause. "Ah, though my question was not specifically for food supplies; it would be good to know what supplies we have in general, to know our capabilities as we travel. I have a glider that can carry my weight and ride winds, a telescope that allows me to see great distances, a sketch pad with pencils, and four bottles, three with gold liquid inside."

Looking up from her tablet, Mirari took a moment to survey their surroundings. "I don't believe food is an immediate concern; our forebears have provided us sustenance for at least a brief period of time. Perhaps we should follow along the river, see if we can find any signs of civilization or people. Water is an important resource after all."

Mountain Trio

Enat came out from behind the tree a bit, though distance was kept between him and the others as he held his head a bit low.

"I al-also have some provisions myself, yes..." He said nervously, gesture towards his pot and its contents. "And if we do find a target to hunt, I believe I am also qu-quite adept at cooking... I... I think."

Skald: Clever Girl - Grassy Hills

Luckily Skald hadn't moved that far ahead yet and at Mirari's comments he turned back to his two traveling companions. "Ah, good point child of the rock. Guess it's my stomach doing the thinking for me at the moment," said Skald as he put his knife away, chuckling in amusement over his eagerness to enjoy what nature could give to them and feeling thankful that his gem acquaintance seemed to be someone with great foresight. "Whatever direction you feel is best is where I will go," he added, showing that he agreed to any plan of movement that was made.

He then held out his shovel in one hand and his tome in the another, saying, "I bring with me these two gifts. This tome while not a weapon is still filled with mighty power, the kind of forces that wards away evil. As for the shovel, I can not say what it does besides from being a device to dig but," and then a pause before continuing with a thoughtful tone, "I now understand that it's past owner was someone of my nature and they passed peacefully watching over my tomb. For what reason I do not know but I will honor them none the less by carrying this tool with me."

Placing the shovel back on his shoulder and holding the tome against his body, the mummified man would follow his fellow awakened if they started to travel forwards the river.

Mirari & Company - Riverside Luncheons

From her inventory Mirari withdrew her rations and opened up the food containers, planning to divide up what rations the group had between one another to add variety to their meal. After a hopefully uneventful meal, the gem girl turned towards the river and, nodding to Skald and Enat, began to head over, glancing here and there examining the scenery for signs of life along the way.

Skald: RP Not Dead Yet? - Riverside

Skald as well pulled from his inventory the box of dry wafers and split them among the party of three, causing the box to be quite empty by the end of the meal. Belly full and spirits high the alive undead joined his female gem ally in overlooking the south river location for any points of interest. Civilization, caves, groups of animals, odd land marks. Anything of that nature.
