Nah, both the Switch and 3DS versions launch today.

Thanks for the info. Anyone here playing the 3DS version?
Sterok is, see two pages back.
This also means the only units that are effective against sword users are extremely weak to bows. Most people I've talked to, say that the Pegasus Knight is their least favorite moveset.
The lack of a jump button is staring to bug me because my only previous hack and slash experience is Kingdom Hearts. At least I figured out how to air juggle with Lianna (one reg attack into a heavy).
So what do you do when an enemy guards? Do you just keep wailing on them or just wait?
"Here have this shield from another game I just happen to be carrying."
Who voices Queen Mom? She sound familiar.

Oboro and Azura are the Lance DLC characters out of the 9 characters chosen.
Oboro and Azura were intended to be in the base game based off interviews and internal data. They are extremely likely to share a moveset.

I'm optimistic that they might flesh out the DLC movepools to be their own thing with the extra time on their hands. Hopefully anyway. If they are just more clones it really does make the price tag for the DLC seem pretty steep.

Okay, let me try retracing this conversation.
Nicole Belick is the English voice of Queen Mom.
Okay so we just waltz into Chrom and co. Coolio.
Lissa's portrait pose doesn't totally translate into 3D.
Lol Lissa being sassy to Freddy.

At Launch, as in without DLC or any kind, Hyrule Warriors has both more Lance movesets then Fire Emblem warriors and more movesets then Fire Emblem Warriors as a whole.
Fire Emblem is obsessed with Lances and they are the second most popular weapon type after swords. To me, it doesn't feel right to have that few lances. Particularly as they implemented the weapon triangle. I'm not saying its a bad game at all and you are free to your opinion, thats just how I feel right now.

I went with the 60 FPS option. Framerate is definitely preferable in this sort of game.
Battles are super hectic to keep track of everything. Even with character swapping it's almost too much. Even if it's slower I prefer doing it in the pause menu.
Come to think of it, anyone think they should've waited for a 3DS portrait?
They might have been able to do similar to Hyrule Warriors and add more features to the 3DS release, thus making it more appealing.
By the way, I don't have it yet but is everyone available at the start or are there unlockables?
This song needs more love.Fire Emblem is obsessed with Lances and they are the second most popular weapon type after swords. To me, it doesn't feel right to have that few lances. Hyrule had more lance movesets at launch than FE Warriors and that's bad I get that and I'm not arguing that. I never was, honestly. I was just trying to get clarification about whether Hyrule had more lance movesets at Hyrule's launch or at present time (which I received, thank you lycropath) and then later why someone would respond to that question by talking about the lance movesets of characters not in the game yet rather than characters that are. All I'm after some kind of evidence that this conversation makes any sense and communication between humans is possible and we're not just mindless apes yibbering nonsense into the void.
You get Celica and Lyn through History Mode.
Mileena MadnessSo Freddy might be the Oifey of the game. His HP and Move stats are super high while is Atk and Def are a bit higher than everyone else's.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Stop acting like pegasus knights, armor knights and the specific subtype of cavaliers that use lances are somehow extra important to the series. There are tons of other classes that have appeared in every, like healers, mounted healers, mages, archers, lords, thieves, wyvern riders, swordsmen.
RE: rikalous
Sorry I wasn't clear. Basically Hyrule Warriors has more lance movesets at base, 3, then Fire Emblem Warriors, 1.
RE: Karxrida
I'm not sure archetypes like that can work with Fire Emblem Warriors. There are no Fire Emblem style growth rates for example.
RE: Druplesnubb
They do appear in every incarnation of the franchise, countless merchandise, and there have even been lords of those class types, counting Elincia as a lord here. So thats why I personally think they are extremely important.
Thieves, Mounted Healers, and Wyvern Riders have not appeared in every game. Infantry Swordsman, Lords, Archers and Healers are already in.
Maybe there's a chance for more DLC?

Most of those other things are in the game Having no armor knights and lance ponies missing does leave a notable chink in the games roster, because gameplay does rely on the Weapon Triangle. The way it is, only one moveset is effective against swords and they have a massive weakness to archers. I think three here is the magic number for movesets and it would be better if they had an infantry, mounted and flying variant of each of the three weapon types.

I'd argue that Peg Knights are iconic to the franchise, but we already have 3 so it's not like we're lacking there. None of the other recurring classes stick out as important since they're all pretty standard fantasy fare.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Jeez, effective weapons don't screw around. Archers can tear through pegs in two or three hits. Gotta be careful to keep mine away from them.
Pegasus Knights are iconic to the franchise.
The other iconic classes are Cavalier and Armor Knights.
Basically Warriors only has 1 out of 3 for the iconic classes.
Cavaliers are specifically associated with Lances too, in all games but this, they can use Lances.
RE: Sterok
While less common, doesn't the enemy have anti horse skills?

Beat Lucina and decided to take a break.
Fun game, but I feel like sometimes I'm just mashing buttons.
Story's fine so far. Nothing groundbreaking, but it doesn't need to be.
I suspect that they might have backloaded the Fates cast, which sucks because I want to use Leo and Corrin.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Archers are awesome. Huge pity that they share a moveset, but at least it's fun to use. Pegasi are a touch tricky to control at first, but not too bad, and they're flying death machines once you get a handle on them.
Camilla is completely out of character though. She actually cares for someone other than Corrin? Who is this person and why would she steal Camilla's clothes of all people?
So is anybody else here actually playing the damn game?
Text-based cutscenes retain the voice acting and have autoplay like in Echoes, but unlike Echoes there aren't any big pauses between character line reads.
Monsters are weak to magic. Good to note.
