So, my group of characters is called the Kaiego, a team of powerful nature guardians who protect the lands of Gardona, a parallel world seen by those who are small. The follow a code of honor that states they can not harm others unless needed. That means they have it rely on other means to deal with conflicts. the problem is, how can I go with this without resorting to, making the villain your friend?

Note: I also had to do this since this is a cartoon idea. It's an edutainment show that teaches older children about the world of bugs and biology. Although, it's more subtle and has an over arching plot of sorts.

You don't have to befriend the other side in order to resolve a problem peacefully. Non-violent solutions to conflicts often involve compromises. Compromises (and peace deals in general) tend to leave both parties unsatisfied and bitter.
