This is an RPG with a twist. You are the GM for the actions of the last poster, and then your cgaracter(s) act after you have declared the results of the previous action(s). For example:

Player 1(as gm): We enter the room. As soon as the whole group is through the door, five giant bats plunge down from the ceiling and swoop at us!

Player 1(as player): I ready my sword to swing at any giant bat that comes near.

Player 2(as gm): One of the bats flies at Player 1, and he cuts it in half. However, another bat catches Player 4 by surprise, picks her up, and retreats!

Player 2(as player): I notch an arrow, chanting a spell of fire to set it alight, and shoot it at the bar holding Player 4.

Rules for gming: Please, don't favor yourself or make it too hard on anyone else. Remember the Rule of Fun, and make sure everyone has a chance. It's okay if you sometimes set yourself up to be the hero, and that can be awesome, but don't do it every time you post. Also, there are no stats or levels, but feel free to award treasure.

Rules for playing: You can be yourself and/or your avatar and/or some other character, but please don't be overpowered or try to be half the characters in the game. You can give yourself cool powers and/or equipment, but try to stick to canon with any other characters.

As GM:

We are in an octogonal, large room. It appears as though any new arrivals will appear on the strange, arcane symbol in the center. A single, large door is in one direction, closed so we cannot see what is on the other side.

As player:

I am ZeroL, a knight in the order of Technopaladins. I am armored in fine circuitry, personal shields capable of absorbing minor attacks. My lasshield melts the weapons of those who would harm me, and my blastsword stands ready to cut and shoot down those who obstruct justice. I cautiously approach the door.

But since you were deemed unworthy due to being overpowered, the door eats you.

I swing my sword at the killer door.

[up] I get why you would think this is a oneshot per post game, but it's supposed to be a continuity, where we keep our characters and play cooperatively. I'm sorry for the confusion.

But since you were deemed unworthy, the zombie throws you to the door, which eats you.

I am a very cynical goblin named Davies Monterey. Armed with a firepoker and dressed in peasant's clothes and a black cloak. Seeing my two companions eaten by a door, I plead with the door to let my companions free, with sacrifice of the rose I garnered from my betrothed.

The door eats the rose. However, it was perfumed, and the rose dies because eating perfume is bad for your health. The door opens to reveal a volcanic chamber with lava.

I am a stupid barbarian, I jump in the lava.

I think it would be Zero L's turn, if they wish.

Talesofunder falls, luckily, onto a narrow stone bridge several feet below the entrance, crossing the room, across which is an archway too dark to see beyond.

I, freed from the door... fall backwards onto Talesofunder from surprise.

The two of you topple over each other, but nearly fall to the burning depths. You two are lucky to be alive.

Davies sees his two companions on the bridge, and carefully climbs down to said bridge.

You crushed the barbarian. Way to go, Clumsy Mac Butterfingers. -3 health to the barbarian. A dinosaur attacks, because this is a prehistoric volcano.

I swing my sword at the dinosaur.

The stegosaurus is deeply wounded in its side, but thrashes its tail at the barbarian, knocking him over.

I get to my feet, see the dinosaur, and aim my blastsword carefully, preparing to take a shot.

You fire the blastsword, directly through the dinosaur's eye, into his brain. Unable to control us motory functions, he staggers around.

Davies grabs the ignorant barbarian and uses him to shield himself from the dinosaur.

The dinosaur is no match for your futuristic technology. The dino is slain. You got 3X Stegosaurus Scale.

Edit: GODANN NINJAS[nja]

I make armor from the scales

(I like the idea that Davies defeated the dinosaur with the "futuristic technology" that is using Tales' character as a human shield.)
