I dunno, I think the current's pretty funny.
EDIT: Here's an upgrade...the outside around the border needs to be made transparent, though.
EDIT #2: Used an MTG card creator to redo the original to make it a little more high-quality...the border around it needs to be made transparent, too.

Current is fine. OP doesn't illustrate the trope for me. How is 2.1 a step up in quality? 2.2 is fine but the custom card copyright stamp is irritating.
I found a different version of the image and saved it as a PNG...might not be a true quality upgrade but the current is a JPG that's not even 40KB IIRC.
I don't really like any of the images. All the cards presents it as a solution, when it's really more like a fail of a solution. Calvin's at least on the right track in that regard.
Check out my fanfiction! The Duck has a really good point there. The cards make it look like the argument is a success when in reality, it more often means that the person who made the comparison to Hitler has run out of any real arguments and so has lost the argument by effectively abandoning it.
In that respect, both 1.1 or 1.2 are more illustrative than the current or any of the card suggestions. I like 1.1 for being easier to read, but 1.2 makes it clearer that Calvin lost the argument, so I'd suggest 1.2.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMThe argument against the cards is valid. However OP is also weak. Calvin is not shown running out of arguments in a discussion before resorting to his Hitler comparison.
Agreed; he's insulting her more than anything.

I'd go with BUPKIS then.
(Annoyed grunt)Clock is set.
Re-clocked. I'm agreeing now that this should be a BUPKIS page...thoughts?
Past the deadline, so yeah, BUPKIS.
Firstly, the current is rather pixelated-looking.
Secondly, even if we could find a quality-swap, it's still just a card that attaches a caption to Hitler's face, albeit with the caption within the image. Here's an alternative from Calvin And Hobbes. (Including a 2-panel version and 3-panel version, respectively.)
