How hard is to find a corgi?
I believe they are all owned by the Queen of England.
(V)(;,,;)(V)We'll have to smuggle one out of England.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyMaybe they can cast the one from Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency?
Not Three Laws compliant.Ed's character only really works if she's a kid. Some of her behavior only a child could get away with.
Unless they flat out say that Adult!Ed has some sort of disability or another. Autism maybe?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI'd really sooner they just made her a kid. And she really doesn't have many of the markers of autism. Or I guess she might have a few, technically, but I think it's more likely she's just eccentric as a result of her intelligence and (not-unrelated or involuntary) isolation.

Netflix just greenlit 10 episodes, with casting to come.
That weird feeling when both Cowboy Bebop threads are sitting next to each other in your watchlist and you think that TV Tropes is glitching out, but, no, both threads have something new in them.
Well, it's about time. Please don't screw this up Netflix. Keanu, Lewis Tan, I don't care just do the story right, you barely have to change a thing, get some talented stunt team, don't do something stupid like change a character's backstory for lulz, don't make Spike and Faye sleep with each other for lulz, and please please please make everybody look as accurate as possible, don't sacrifice an inch. Let me be quite anal on this - if Spike does not have his fro or Jet lacks that little metal piece on his chin, I will be pissed.
Just don't get that weird director who wants to change things for the sake of changing things.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I'm curious on how they will handle the characters and filming locations.
Also, I'm guessing that the opening theme, "Tank!", will be re-recorded by session musicians in Los Angeles or elsewhere. After all, I'm hoping that they don't mess up the opening theme.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. Also, the synopsis has just been posted a few weeks ago.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. There's nothing here that's particularly telling as far as whether the live-action series will remain true to the roots of the original anime series. The basic "bounty hunters try to make money while avoid corporations and organized crime" is straight out of Cowboy Bebop, but the devil's in the details.
Welp. This may be the fastest a kidney stone has ever materialized.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That’s pretty much the plot of the original, although the show had no real continuity outside of the Vicious episodes.
"Netflix has announced the initial cast for its live-action “Cowboy Bebop” series: John Cho will play the lead role of Spike Spiegel, while Danielle Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) will play Faye Valentine, Mustafa Shakir (“Luke Cage”) will portray Jet Black, and Alex Hassell will play the villain Vicious. The 10-episode series will see Alex Garcia Lopez directing the first two episodes. Original director Shinichiro Watanabe is a consultant on the new show, which has yet to receive a release date."
Where's Edward?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI can... sort of see Cho in some scenes as Spike. Can he fight, though? Also, he seems too old. Like, he looks good for his age, but he's got 20 years on Spike and one of the things about Spike was how he was essentially a grumpy old man in a young man's body because of all the shit he went through.
Everyone else looks good, I suppose? Cho's a fine actor, Shakir has chops, I know nothing about Pineda but... she seems pretty (which, for Faye, is admittedly a necessary aspect), and I don't know about the actor for Vicious but as long as he can do creepy, it's a pretty easy role.
... shit, I just realized how much I would love Andre Braugher as Jet, especially since his character in Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a beloved corgi.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Wasn't expecting a cast announcement coming this suddenly. It's really happening. We really are getting a live-action Cowboy Bebop show...
Ed's coming. Just hasn’t been cast yet.
Funnily enough, Netflix's NX Twitter is responding to tweets announcing these cast members with GIFs of Ein and Ed.
Are these guys understudies with the Sonic Twitter?

That some really good casting actually.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Well, I don't know these actors enough to be disappointed. Expecting Reeves for Spike was pretty unrealistic given this being on a Netflix budget, and with John Wick 3 on the way.
I liked Shakir as Bushmaster in Luke Cage. But his accent was thick as hell in that, so I have to wonder if that was his natural accent and therefore going to be Jet's, or if he's going to dial it back to fit Jet's deeper register. From what I saw in LC I don't think his voice is deep enough - heck, Mike Colter would have been my pick for Jet Black, but ehhhh, let's see where this goes.
Faye is... I have no idea who Daniella Pineda is, but Faye isn't exactly hard to cast for either.
Alex Hassell, too, is an unknown. I've found only 1 picture of him with long hair and he... kind of fits Vicious? Dye his hair gray and I could see it.
I need to see the costume designs or a trailer, whichever comes first.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Hard to complain about John Cho in anything, but certainly an unexpected bit of casting.
I agree it's a quite unexpected casting announcement. I wonder if Alex Hassell is going to go the Evil Brit route for Vicious?
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Rumor has it the reboot has made its first major blunder, casting a huskey instead of a corgi as Ein because reasons.

Trainability, probably. But yeah. I don't know, it's not like Ein really ever has to do much other than look cute on camera.

In before Ein is cast as a pug
New theme music also a box
