Lost in Space
The wiki's software has some inconsistencies with the handling of extended characters. We've got them on the worklist to be fixed by the developers, but it's a matter of time and priorities. Diacritics and other special characters should work fine in the article source, but there are issues with them in custom titles, topic titles, and the like.

For Japanese and other multi-byte languages... there are ways to make them work but you'll have to experiment and play it by ear. The wiki doesn't handle Unicode internally — the original software it's based on predates Unicode.

Hm. So by the sounds of that, I assume copying and pasting the song titles or names from Remywiki or the Pop'n Music wiki won't work. Shame. I don't really know much Japanese, so I guess I'll have to wait on updating the characters for Pop'n Music.
It should work fine. Example: うさぎと猫と少年の夢. Try it. You can always undo it if it fails to work as intended. I just tested that string on a Sandbox and it came out fine over multiple edits.

I have a question about editing. I wanted to do an edit for Pop'n Music, but I noticed that on the editing page, the Japanese characters appear like "&#[string of numbers]", but when I put in song titles via copy and paste, they appear in their original form. Should I be concerned about that, or will it convert automatically?
