It's ABSOLVER.

I already hollered at the mods to change the title! Leave me alone!

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Absolver makes me sad because it's what I want and what I don't.
I want kung-fu stamina-management combat. I like Dark Souls, and I like punching things in video games. This is optimal combo.
I'm not a fan of the setup tho. This is a tired complaint, but fuck it, I would have prefered full-on singleplayer w/ engaging PVE enemies littering the map. It's going to be good, no doubt, but I'm worried about long-term viability and the playerbase. Devolver Digital isn't exactly small as a company (and they're pushing the game hard), but it's still a multiplayer game, with a fairly niche-set up, that's being put out by not the big-dick publishers.
It still looks like a good game tho.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018One thing the game has is that if you your ass kicked with a move enough times you actually get to learn it, so it's at least better than getting with nothing. Can't wait to run away fom battles I started though.
Stamina management and kung-fu, along with Dark Souls-esque multiplayer dickery is an easy sell for me. Admittedly without being put out by a big publisher it runs the risk of fading into obscurity and it probably won't be sustainable for more than 1-2 years - but I'd argue that's the consequence of any game that markets itself as multiplayer-only while not having a wide enough audience/big enough wallet to support itself on.
But then, I'd have said that about Anarchy Reigns and Evolve and I think both of those still have people playing them. Even Battleborn is still played somewhat.
That said, this is the kind of game I might pick up on a Steam Sale 6-7 months down the line just to try it.

Online multiplayer leg-breaking, eye-poking, wrist-chopping, stance-wielding, knee-sweeping, finger-blocking, neck-cracking goodness.
The story seems kind of bland but the concept of an online brawler is pretty unique to me (Anarchy Reigns aside).
