Yeah...wonder if we'll see 'em soon... (Marsha says, closing her eyes.) Hope my brother's doin' all right.

(Sunny grins when Dieter explains.) I can fix my voice if I go there? Magnifique! I am so happy! This is wonderful! My life is not ruined yet! Once I have gone to apologize to Liesl, I will go as soon as I can! Yes!

(She cheerily waves good-bye to Grigori.) See you there, monsieur! (She says in a voice resembling Wrench's, but she doesn't seem to care at the moment.)

"Excuse me", said Noriaki, getting up "But I think I should take my leave head to sleep myself right now, if that is fine."

He bows and heads off to the room.

I laugh a bit.

"Yeahhh, don't worryyyy. Make friends like you are and such. Apologize to Liesl... Leesul... Yeah..."

"Anyway IIIII'm gonna head back to the bar. See you all the morning. If y'all can't find me, maybe Mar-Mar can ping me or something..."

They stagger back to the bar.

Oh, magnifique! I feel so much better! I love all of you! (Sunny says.) Oh...ahem, that was probably a bit much...

(She looks after Dieter as they return to the bar.) Merci, mon amie! Merci!

(She turns back to the others.) Wonderful! I shall go to my room now. I cannot wait until the next morning! Have a pleasant night, everyone! Farewell!

(Sunny happily walks off and heads to her and Grigori's room, going in and happily heading toward her bed..)

I slowly drift to sleep, still sitting at the dinner table.

Marlon > Marsha, hotel room

(I lay into bed next to Marsha and then say:)

Who knows...they could be on their way here right now.

(I say, probably tempting fate. I open up my arms and attempt to wrap them around Marsha, not yet about to sleep but soon will.)

Noticing Niles nodding off, Mila carefully stands up, moving her bag over to one of her shoulders so that both of her hands are free to hold the Cyndaquil. Her movements are slow, not wanting to disturb him, and she looks over to Finley once she's managed to get Niles in her arms.

"Why don't we go to our room? I'll need to you open the door..."

Yeah...can't wait ta see dem again... (Marsha says.)

(Marsha wraps one arm around Marlon and pulls him close, holding him almost like a teddy bear. She goes to sleep with a smile on her face.)

(Marsha pulling me close causes me to smile widely as I fade off to sleep for the night.)

I dunno where I am right now. It looks like the inside of a mountain. There's a Totodile standing in front of me. Do I know him? It feels like I do. He looks hurt. Sick, too. "Niles… I don't think I can make it."
"Come on, Donny!" I shout. "You can't go now!" I start rummaging through my bag. We're out of Oran and Pecha Berries.
"I'm sorry… Niles…" He takes poison damage and faints.
"… Dang it, Donny! We gotta restart the mission now!" I groan as a shining light envelops us and whisks us away.

In my sleep, I can be heard softly growling gibberish in my frustration.

Finley looks to the two with a smile, standing up and heading towards their room, opening the door for them.

"Yea, yea, ah've plee'ed this before with'm...it's sumethen' like..." After going back and pulling back the curtains, Olias sits down with his mandolin and plucks out the vocal melody to the song...

...after some preparation, the curtains rise again. Olias steps forward. "And nuw...me and mee friend 'ere are gunna plee ye a song ull the way ewt frum Foxfell...ya mee've h'ard it before from mee good friend...Captain Hart...boht he's nuht good right nuw...soo we're gunna plee it, johst the two uf us."

"Well," [I say to Sarah as we wander down the main street of Slak Rock's more affluent section,] "ya think we did what we set out t'do...that Lillipup fuckin'...passed out on us back there..." [I can't help but laugh at that...there's just a certain amount of schadenfreude that I can draw from all this...]

Affluent Area, in the Fuuuuture, or Preeeesent...or whatever

*having since wrapped up her little concert, surely flubbing the hell out of a Foxfell song, she nods to Finlord and says* More or less...well... *thinking back to a prior conversation, she's finally forced to face the inevitable, and say* ...sorry it didn't work out, but I guess I'll tag along just long enough to say my goodbyes. Also, uh, how long are you going to like keep that form anyway?

"Ehhh," [I shrug,] "whenever we find out where the hell the others are..." [Oh, that reminds me...I take the fourteen dollars (or thereabouts) from out of my tail and hold them out for Sarah to take.] "...still, even if it was a bust...ya can't say it wasn't fun, was it. At least most of it..."

[I am reminded of something I was thinking of telling her back at the pub, but I feel it best to say now before she decides to act on her little threat.] "Y'know...I can keep a secret."

Noriaki drifted off to sleep, not being plagued by intrusive thoughts and nightmares for once.

Elsewhere, a heavily injured Aerodactyl dragged himself onto a rocky shore. He coughed violently before falling flat as his body was entirely on dry land.

"   ... Well, it would seem that I have chosen quite the night to take a stroll.   ", a somewhat sultry voice echoed to the injured flier.

The Aerodactyl looked up to see a cloaked figure, flying a bit over a nearby short cliff that overlooks the sea. As it approaches him, he can see that it is a Vespiquen.

"... What do you want?", he asks in a somewhat groggy voice.

The Vespiquen in the gaudy cloak responded in a tender tone, "   I see that you've come from a recent conflict. Based on all those wounds and your current placement... I can postulate it ended on a negative note for you.   "

The Aerodactyl groaned, repeating himself, "What do you want?"

"Such disrespect", another voice suddenly said, as a shiny Noctowl and Shiny Bisharp appeared alongside the Vespiquen, "You shall speak with our liege only with utmo-"

"   Montresor, please, those bleeding wounds he bears are dwarfed by the ones I know he must carry on his ego and heart.   "

Montresor bowed apologetically. The Aerodactyl's expression seems to tell L'arachel that she was on the mark there.

"   I would like for this lost soul to open up to me, though... Ah, I know   ", she said pulling out a small bag and handing it to the Shiny Noctowl, "   Montresor, be a dear, and go check nearby settlements to see if we can purchase an Aerodactylite for this injured warrior. I'll have some of my Combee accompany you, use them well to find a decent shop for the gift.   "

The Aerodactyl's jaw dropped in surprise, but Monstresor bowed without even a moment's hesitation and said, "Right away, milady" before taking off in flight with a small squadron of Combee.

"H-Hey lady, y-you're seriously doing that for me?", the injured flier asked, flabbergasted, "Th-that's a pretty big gift just to make a good impression!"

"   ... Well, does it make a good impression on you, warrior?   "

"... Yes, it does. Alright lady...", the Aerodactyl said, expression lightening, "Sorry for being a bit cold, but as you can see, I'm kind of bleeding all over."

"   Yes, I see that. Let us get to know each other as I bring you back to my home and treat your wounds.   ", L'arachel stated as she snapped her fingers at the Shiny Bisharp, "   Notte, lift this man up and bring him back to the manor.   "

"Right away, milady!", Notte said with a salute as he went over and hoisted the Aerodactyl up with his metal body.

Wincing a bit from the pain of his wounds as he was being transported, the wounded one spoke out, "R-Right, I should be sayin'.... My name's Zelgius, I greatly appreciate you helping a guy out here... You're... Weirdly nice towards a bleeding stranger. What's your-"

Zelgius coughed up a bit of blood, showing that he really did go out of his way just to introduce himself there, which made an ever-so-slight smile creep across the noble Vespiquen's face.

"   L'Arachel.   "

The three along with the small entourage of Combee vanished in to the nearby decrepit manor.

Once inside the room, Mila lays down Niles in the bed carefully, taking note of his muttering. Once she's tucked him in, she sits down at one edge of the bed and places her bag down next to her, before pulling out the book from the library that she'd kept. She waits for a moment to let Finley choose where she wants to sleep in relation to the other two, and flips open the book to a section about moves that the Raichu line can learn.

Agility: It is notable that Raichu, among other pokemon, have the ability to raise their rate of movement significantly when threatened. This comes at the cost of taking other offensive or defensive measures, but it is a highly valuable tool for conflict resolution in certain scenarios, and the author highly recommends any mon capable of this feat to learn how to apply it effectively.

Affluent Area

*Sarah accepts the Poké and then nods, saying* It was pretty nice. And like...and I do have something I'd like to get off my chest. Something for your ears only, the ramifications of which could unravel the very fabric of everyone's very being.

*leaning in closely, she simply whispers* I'm not her. Shocking as it may seem, I'll give you some time to process that.

I float into the room I'm supposed to be in.

[I snicker, though I can't help but let a little anger—anger at her continual insistence on her not being Jani despite all evidence—seep through my laughter.] "Well, if y'really wanted an example, Mila was the first t'tell me 'bout her feelin's for Finley, and...well, people coulda guessed but it wasn't a...a sealed deal for everyone 'till they got t'gether back when we were all at Hoard."

[I pull myself back up, keep walking along.] "I'm just sayin', I'm in that kinda business." [I glance down at her again and sigh...I'm kinda half wondering where the hell they're gonna be at this point...]

Hotel Carracosta

Dieter is sleeping, muttering something about how everyone was feeling too down to do anything on April Fools, so they should do it the 2nd instead.

   "So you aren't here yet...?"    A wretched voice booms in Finley's mind as she sleeps restlessly.

"What?" She asks the voice.

   "Here! Home! Where you belong! Do hurry getting here!"    Suddenly, she can see. In front of her is a sight similar to the last nightmare she had.

Her parents, lying dead on the floor.

   "We have one hell of a welcome home party planned for you!"   

Suddenly, Finley wakes up with a jolt.

"... I have to go home."

Having had some difficulty getting rest, Mila is only lightly sleeping and Finley's motions quickly set her off and get her to wake up. Instinctively realizing that something is bothering Finley, she pulls herself into a sitting position and looks over to her girlfriend.

"What's the matter, Finley? Are you feeling worried?"

She looks to Mila, worry and panic in her eyes. Yet, she tries her best to stay calm as she speaks.

"We need to go to Foxfell. Now. Once we get up tomorrow, we have to head off. I can't handle being away for much longer..."

Finley looks down at the sleeping Nyquil between them.

"Don't tell him until the morning, okay? He needs his rest."

"Alright, I'd be glad to leave this place, anyways. We'll get going as soon as possible, okay?"

Not wanting to move too much to disturb Niles' sleep, Mila reaches over him and puts a paw on Finley's shoulder in hopes that it'll help her mood, even if only a little. She knows too well the feeling of wanting to return home, but at the same time she gets the sense that there's something else behind Finley's worries, and that causes herself concern as well.
