I believe we should chose Fawful. He's quite popular amongst those who know who he is, and is a great example of the Dragon becoming Big Bad. His Ascent may come between games, but he has a quote that outlines it perfectly:
After the battle following the quote, he is defeated, and returns in the next game, and foreshadows his plan to take power. Most didn't take it seriously until he actualy DOES RETURN as Big Bad in Mario And Luigi Bowsers Inside Story. Boom.
