Right, so now there's no good regression perks.
At least the first down won't suck, but seriously? They went after pain res too? >_>
and hag really needed to have her power be completely nullified. amazing.
The funny thing is that because of the accessibility changes, too, it's basically impossible for Sadako to be stealthy.

Avatar SourceI do think Pain res might benefit from having a way to regain tokens. Something like start with 4, gain one for each unique survivor hooked, for a potential max of 8.
Me own thought for Call of Brine would have been "if only works on the last gen kicked"
I guess we're going to be in an antiheal meta, except this is also the patch where they're adding in autobuy.
So, everyone that actually has a lot of BP is going to be bringing a medkit (and probably a heal perk) every damn game. At least they've been nerfed too, but anti-heal's the only thing anyone can possibly build for. :T

Avatar SourceAren't those exactly the kind of situations you want an antiheal build for?
I've seen posts suggesting the opposite. More of a Resilience-style gen rush meta.
I also saw a post suggesting the regression nerfs were partly to balance out the healing nerfs, since they potentially offer more slowdown possibilities than pure regression. After all, pressure is anything that keeps Survivors off of generators.
Edited by sgamer82 on Mar 24th 2023 at 10:02:41 AM
Except it doesn't balance anything out, it just kicks one thing out the door entirely and enforces everything.
It's the situation you want antiheal, but it also intrinsically makes it less effective because it comes along right at the time where medkits are probably going to be constant. Which is weird.
at least overzealous now working on booning comes when Circle of Healing loses the 'infinite free self care' part of it; otherwise that would be cancerous for playing on either side (people already reboon things enough when it's a bad idea, but on the flip side it would've meant that someone could keep getting a constant repair speed bonus, which is just irritating).
i'm not sure that's the best logic for nerfing something to unusability, but there we go. If you want to change the meta, leaving everything perpetually on 'too weak to use' isn't... great. It looks like the only buffs are to gearhead (more info which is once again only triggering when you can't use it—either you're still in chase or you need to go hook), and overzealous (still not the strongest genspeed boost, and those are things that don't need boosting). <_>
Edited by RainehDaze on Mar 24th 2023 at 5:08:36 PM
Avatar SourceI wonder if the Gearhead buff will amount to anything. One of my issues with the times I tried the perk was missing its activation entirely. Now it'll activate consistently but still relies on RNG of survivors (a) being on gens and (b) getting a skill check in that time
And C) not activating when you're occupied.
I don't think it amounts to anything more useful than running BBQ would have. Or Floods of Rage (although that's gotten nerfed because now there's less reason to run PR, although maybe it still goes with Gift of Pain since that really makes healing painful...) <_>
Edited by RainehDaze on Mar 24th 2023 at 5:16:36 PM
Avatar SourceThere's also Killers who benefit from Floods of Rage on its own, like Huntress.
Sure, but since they made PR have two reasons it can become unusable, Floods does get caught in the same nerfs.
Avatar SourceTokens are one, what's the other?
Hook spawns, sabotage, and someone dying on the only accessible hook. Normal Scourge Hook stuff.
Avatar SourceAh, thought you meant something specific to Pain Res.
On that note I had an idea recently to rework Territorial Imperative into a Scourge Hook that could build up tokens that would allow you to turn any normal hook into a Scourge Hook at the cost of deactivating a random one elsewhere on the map. Also added in a touch of Hangman's Trick where you could see auras of survivors by Scourges to expand on its already existing effect like Monstrous Shrine's rework did.

Mostly just bug fixes, but this one amused me
Nicolas Cage is going to be a survivor. Thats the tweet. More info on July.
Btw, next chapter and some collabs have been leaked so careful
Uni catMaybe this means we're getting Willy's Wonderland instead of FNAF.
Just nick cage
ok
i don't know what to do with this information

Avatar SourceOk imma post it
Next chapter is called End Transmission. Comes with a new map set in an alien world. The survivor is called Gabriel Soma and the killer is known as the Singularity, a weird Mechanical Abomination that mixes the worst traits of Xenomorphs and Terminators
Not much is known other than it has like some weird projectile traps that let you teleport to them.
Uni catPTB Patch Notes: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/389-7-0-0-ptb
Forced Hesitation: When a Survivor is put into the dying state by any means, all other Survivors standing within 16/16/16 meters around them suffer the hindered Status effect for 10/10/10 seconds, reducing their Movement speed by 15%. This perk goes on cooldown for 60/50/40 seconds.
Machine Learning: After performing the damage generator action, Machine Learning activates. While this perk is active, the next generator you damage will be compromised until it is completed. The generator is highlighted in Yellow. When the compromised generator is completed, you become undetectable and gain 7% Haste for 20/25/30 seconds. Then, Machine Learning deactivates. If you break a gen while another generator is compromised, the compromised generator moves to the latest one kicked.
Made for This: This perk activates while you are in the injured state. You run 1/2/3% faster. After you finish healing another Survivor, gain the endurance status effect for 6/8/10 seconds. Made for This cannot be used when suffering from Exhaustion, but does not cause the Exhausted Status Effect.
Scavenger: While you are holding an empty toolbox, this perk activates. Succeeding a great skill check while repairing gives the perk 1 token, up to 6/5/4. When you reach maximum tokens, lose all tokens automatically recharge the toolbox to full. Scavenger is disabled for the remainder of the Trial after recharging a toolbox. This perk grants the ability to rummage through an opened chest once per Trial and will guarantee a basic Toolbox.
Also: Buffs to Pop Goes The Weasel (20% current progress > 30% current progress), Deja Vu (permanently on instead of for a set time), and Flashbang (no longer need to be empty handed to make a flashbang) Bunch of killer add-on tweaks, and Pyramid Head now inflicts Torment with successful Punishment of the Damned hits
The anti-camping changes don't seem to be in this PTB, but I'm not sure if they were expected to be.

Seems Scavanger perk looks decent enough. It doesn't said you loose token if you fail or don't do great skill check, so you can use purple toolbox twice if you hit that spots.
Does that mean I don't get the job?I'm watching a video showing Survivor gameplay right now you don't lose tokens like you do Hyperfocus.
Also, made for this perk seems really good too. Just flat 3% increase means 4.6 killer will become 4.48 and 4.4 killer become 4.28. This is really huge advantage that you can theoretically spend more time juking killers.

Re-work of Gas Heaven and Blood Lodge Autohaven maps to break up car walls. Some auto Bloodweb options.
Healing Nerf: Heals take 24 seconds instead of 16. Medkit base charges increased accordingly, but addons will reduce healing speed on others and remove healing speed on self.
