That's a rather cheesy title
Do we need a new thread for this? The old one was serviceble.
But this thread has go faster stripes and is in no way a rehash of the original thread.
...did you see what I did there ;)
Looks cool. Switching it up a bit with you having to get your ally/friend back at the start, tons of new enemy types(trolls! a balrog!), going deeper into the lore with what looks like Minas Ithil(?) and ringwraiths etc.

Boy oh boy. Loved the first, and this looks to be quite the epic sequel.
Only nag is that I'm not a big nerd of Lot R lore, so I'm not sure exactly how much of this game's story I'll understand/care about. But as long as there's more orcs to kill, I'll be happy.
Any word on how, if, the nemesis system is going to be different? Or is that early wishful thinking?
Ah, so this takes place around the time that Minas Ithil fell to Mordor. Interesting.
...The fact that Talion's ring isn't on his ring finger is bugging me, though.
Also according to a blurb I saw they will be expanding the Nemesis system.

So.
balrogs.
COOL.
I thought this game set up a near alternative continuity as well?
Basically, I think. Not sure though.
Armored balrogs, though. Interesting, I didn't think they wore armor.
I thought they were armour, basically just filled with fire and smoke?
Technically they're basically angels. Or, well. Fallen angels. Demons.
They're also the same rank as Sauron, and wouldn't really be willing to work for him.
Yeah, it seemed like Durin's Bane had basically taken Moria for itself and ruled (somehow) the goblins in it. I would imagine if he actually used Balrogs, Sauron would be using his status as Morgoth's right hand to get them to obey him, since they're both Maiar.
Rank =/= power though. Olórin is Maiar as well, and was able to solo a balrog as Gandalf the Grey, who is explicitly forbidden from going all out while in Middle Earth. Even as the White he's still nerfed, but I always got the impression that Sauron would win in a 1v1 with both at peak.
I've not read the entire Silmarillion yet, so if I got something wrong please correct me.

Is this new ring called the Two Ring?
Yep. It's a ton better.

Looking forward to raising a new batch of loyal orc minions. Really loved the nemesis system in the first game, and I hope they expand and improve it. Also, I wanna take down a balrog!
I do wonder what the inscription on this ring says.
Alright, the addition of Balrog raise an important question: Do Balrogs have wings?
"Nothing is true, everything is permitted. I am vengeance. I am the night. Why the fuck has no one copied the Nemesis System? It's the one original thing about this game."

Looks awesome! I love Shadow of Mordor, and I'm extremely hyped for this sequel.
I wonder what improvements there will be made to the Nemesis system.
Yes because the one in the trailer clearly had them.
Durin's Bane also had them.
Or did he! Citation needed!

Yeeees, my fantasy War on Terror may continue!
Si Vis Pacem, Para Perkele
Leaked, coming August.
It's about frickin' time. That cliffhanger at the end of the first game...
