Fire Emblem Heroes

I just did the Path of Radiance themed Banner, and I got Ike on the first try! ...Now I'm going to have to save up my orbs for the other banner. Dang it IS!

Holy shit! I decided to throw my last 40 orbs on the new banner and got both Azura and Hector on my second pull! I now few better about wasting orbs on the stupid Tellius banner. And I can now officially never complain about my luck ever again.

I'd been planning to make another try for Ike once today's daily orbs brought me back up to 20. Instead I gave the new banner a spin and got Ryoma, so I am pretty pleased with this decision.

I got a good Azura (+spd -def) and a bad Ryoma (+res -atk) on my second pull, alongside high-quality food (4* Hinata).

Speaking of high quality food, I have some extra Lon'qu and M!Robin that I plan to feed my neutral Hector. Vantage + Bonfire is the most infuriating Hector build in my experience, so it should work well, right? I could feed him my extra F!Robins, but Ignis seems a bit overkill. Is the extra 30% ever actually needed?

I don't really like Vantage Hector for offense - he is godly to score defensive wins, not to do perfect runs.

I have never ran the numbers about the extra firepower brought by Bonfire. I would be more enclined to try Sol to increase his survivability: I used Chrom for a long time and it can really work wonders.

The infuriating thing about vantage bonfire is that if Bonfire trigger while Hector is in low health, he will kill something, almost guaranteed. But I suppose that might be more relevant on defense than offense. I find vantage useful for offense, though. Sure, I haven't tested it with Hector, obviously, but both my Lyn and Takumi have it and it is very useful. It often allow me to be more "careless" with a character, if I know they can kill the opponent before being hit. Because Hectors deal even more damage than these two, I think it will be even more relevant, specially against mages.

Figures we get these banners right after I waste all my orbs . I really wish that the pity chance was not tied to a specific banner.

Decided to randomly pick the game up again. Cleared Chapters 9 and 10 then did a pull on the Tellius Banner.

First pull was 5* Ike, second pull was 5* Titania. Ho-ly shit. I don't know how good those two are but they're the only 5* units I have. The only other noteworthy unit in that pull was a 4* Cecilia.

Against my better judgement, I kept a board with two colorless orbs. The first orb is Takumi.

Well that happened. He's +Def, -HP

Vantage + Sol is pretty legit for Hector. I've been running it for offense and it's let him be main tank with little worry in many situations where Bonfire would have just been gross overkill. The only other B slot I'd say is worth considering is Green Tomebreaker because merged enough Ninos (or ones with +Def/HP or the HP +3 Seal) can avoid being one-shot and double him to death. Still, I'd say Vantage is more generally useful.

This new banner definitely seals the fate of the Tellius banner. I was considering maybe dumping whatever orbs I'd accumulated at end of the banner's life span, since there's nothing my bench really needs so badly that I need to shoot right for it (hence, my shooting for Ike as a vanity pull, even though he'd also be really useful if I did field him). The new one's increased Focus rate and colour coverage gives me a way better and efficient chance of pulling a bunch of characters with fringe usefulness to my bench (even if I only particularly like two of the characters). Sorry, Ike—the odds are just extra against you this time.

I'm now even more sure Choose Your Legends and Swimsuit will be back to back.

What other characters would benefit in Sol? I have a freaking Raven conspiracy going on my barracks.

Nah, they'll be deployed on the same day, in the middle of a sword Lord Voting Gauntlet that includes regular Ike and Lucina, during a period where a 2 orb/day payout is not running. Oh, and this will all follow up on a Radiant Dawn banner.

Zephiel is a pretty good Sol user. Also maybe Ike since some people feel like Luna is overkill for him and Aether still takes forever to charge.

Tanks basically. So Brave Lance Effie (although Noontime may be better).

At least I don't care so much about having Azura or Takumi. Otherwise I'd really be crying for my lack of orbs. T_T

@Kuroi, thanks for the imput. I guess I will go with Sol over bonfire, then. I do have an extra Chrom, so it works out perfectly.

So, I found this on Reddit and it's pretty painful to look at. >.>

Discounting pity increase (because it's a pain to add into the calculations) and assuming worst-case scenario of single-pulling at 5 orbs every time, that's a 1.12% chance of occurring. Actual chance with all those factors in is probably something stupid like in the tenths of a percentage.

I've given Vantage and Pivot to my Hector. After he gets enough SP to learn them, I shall rule the world.

Not doing so well on the best units banner. Nothing but 3* units. And another Eirika. Who is *Atk +Res. Just like my current one. What are the odds? Heavily considering whaling for Azura.

Should I give Hector Noontime/Sol/Whatever even if he has Vantage?

Also, what's a good C Skill for him?

Either Threaten Atk or Threaten Def.
