Bendis keeps turning him into a crabby jerkass murderer.
I'm not into Ordinary Hawkguy. The Hawkeye I liked stopped being written years ago.

That's a little overly dramatic. Also, nor true.
except for the part where the entirety of dark reign has hawkeye whine in the corner about how they need to murder osborn
or that he literally just murdered the hulk
Occupy Avengers #1 established that he ain't proud of that second one...
Hey, now, Doom was plenty dangerous even ignoring his assist, unlike Haggar.
He was, but Hidden Missile still kind of changed the face of a match; you were constantly stuck dealing with that assist instead of actually playing the damn game.
IDK the more I think about it the more I'm okay with a slower paced, simpler MVC. God knows I am absolute trash at 3. Like, I feel with this game it'll be about actually being good at the two characters you're running rather than locking your opponent down until you get a hit in, and then combo them to death.
tldr: be more like the actual best vs game; Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
Well if that's the case, Devil Dinosaur could easily fill Gold Lightan's role.
I'd rather they not bring giant characters back, considering they were a pain to fight in TVC.
It is quite impressive they were as balanced as they were, though.
I mean, I can live without them, even if the prospect of Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur as playable drives me crazy, but they were still neat.
Question:
Why are fighting games overall niche?
There is no denying that fighting games are popular now, I'm just curious as to why they usually get outsold by other genres.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! The difficulty curve and usual lack of single player content are the main strikes against the genre. I believe Maximillian Dood went over this in one of his "Real Talk" videos.
High skill ceiling, your losses are always your fault and you can't blame someone else, and personally I think the lack of single player content has to do with it. You should be able to have fun with the game on your own time. I sank hours into Soul Calibur 2 and I don't think I ever actually played multiplayer more than a few dozen times.
That, and I think DLC practices hit this genre the worst.

So, it's something to do with the genre being more multiplayer focused and the fact that you have to get good? Plus stuff like DLC?
I definitely agree on DLC and the skill level. Because fighting games can't be "weekend rentals".
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! Also, lack of any sort of real tutorial for a lot of titles.
Not true, you can play a low tier character and blame your loss on that.
I think so, yeah. I think developers took online multiplayer as a fount for infinite content, and so didn't bother to fill the game with anything else, so people who want to pick up the game and try it out can't do anything but constantly get bodied online by Vergil/Magneto/Dante.
And then they charged you two bucks a pop for alternate costumes and eight for characters.
Also not true, IMO also the player's fault for picking the low tier character in the first place.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! It's Capcom's fault for making Arthur low tier.
It's Sakurai's fault for making Ganondorf low tier.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! It's players' fault for caring about tiers
It's reality's fault for making perfect game balance in a fighting game with a varied roster impossible.
"Shake the dust." - Anis Mojgani*Hears conversation about tiers* ◊
Mileena MadnessSo when are we going to get new character confirmations?
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.Probably not for a little while. But if its anything like MVC, once they start we can expect at least a good amount of regularity.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The death of arcades in America also hit the genre hard, since online multiplayer is usually dominated by things like shooting games.
@Mr.Badguy: In your opinion anyway, not one wildly shared seeing how popular Fraction's Hawkeye book was.
And Bendis has barely written anything with Hawkeye, what are you talking about?
No offense, but it doesn't sound like you read Fraction's book since he's still plenty "mouthy".
