[up][up]That reminds me of Banner logic of including no Commanders besides the Banner amulet, in a theme all about mixing Officers and Commanders, so that maids would always grab it.

Pretty cool that the new Forest legendary seems to work well with Rose Queen! Granted, it's not going to help it rise to the competitive level of the more popular forest decks, but it makes for the occasional fun surprise win.

I do wish Enhance and Necromancy had the option of whether you want to use the extra effect or not even if you could afford it, but it's always nice to be versatile.

It helps make Rose Queen a bit more consistent, but I think it'd be funniest with Silver Bolt. 18 unstoppable face damage on turn 9.

Do Silver Bolt decks also keep their hands filled with fairy generators like Rose Queen, or do they focus more on other draw options and keep lots of actual cards? Do they actually use 3 copies of Silver Bolt?

Speaking of which, word is still out on whether reported nerfs to cards are real or just speculation, people have been saying that Elana cost was raised to 5, Cynthia to 7, and Elf Girl Liza had defense lowered to 1, based on small screenshot. This is pretty important since a part of the White Wolf's (the new forest legendary in discussion) viability is counting on not getting banished and it won't always be able to suicide itself, so it benefits from Haven decreasing in popularity if the Elana Haven deck falls.

I think almost all fairy decks play basically the same, with different win conditions. 3 Silver Bolts seems like overkill though.

For the most part yeah. Some Rose Queen decks seemed to go for cards like Pixie Paradise and Titania's Sanctuary, though I prefer not playing with those, but I do play Fairy Caster that other decks don't play. Fairy Beast also tends to only be played in more stall-heavy variants. Some players go for Fairy Princess if they have her, though I think I'd prefer Fairy Caster even if I did have her since I don't want to kill my next draw.

Master of the Canopies is fun too although inconsistent, but at the same time there are many games where I have Fairy Beast and wish I had Master instead since I don't need healing.

Expansion release date is December 29th. They're also showing off new cards on twitter.

Bahamut is a Neutral 10 pp 13/13 that destroys everything (followers and amulets, both players) on the board when played. Crystalia Lily is a Forest 2pp 2/2 with "Enhance 6: Turn an enemy follower into a Snowman." Thief is a Sword 3 pp 2/2 with "Clash: Draw a card." Clash is a new keyword that triggers whenever the follower is involved in follower-on-follower combat, ie: when either attacking or defending, but not when attacking the face.

I, for one, am looking forward to turning Bahamut, the ultimate dragon of destruction, into a snowman.

Yeah, it was pretty low-effort. The Japanese version has two narrators, male and female, that alternate lines.

So Shadow's getting a discount Phantom Howl and Sword gets a shiny bishonen legendary. Not bad. Meanwhile neutral gets infinite carrots.

Oh wait Shadow just got a banish immunity follower this is awesome holy shit.

They seem to be pushing the "spellboost, except without the spells" followers for Rune. Probably in the hopes of making a Rune archetype that uses spellboost effects for tempo instead of just going all-in on Dimension Shift all the time.

That new blood legendary is literally the perfect answer to Otohime. Also Dragon gets a good but slow amulet.

No, the perfect answer to Otohime is Salamander's Breath, which for 6 pp deals 5 damage to one follower and 2 to the rest.

Anyway, I guess the Dragonclaw Necklace has some incremental value in a slower game, but I can't help but see it as being part of some Wildfang Dragonewt + Altered Fate mega-combo. Honestly it's almost just a better version Banner from swordcraft (amulet that makes each follower do 1 extra damage), but I cant really see that mattering all that much in dragon decks. Face dragon wouldn't want it as a banner substitute because it competes with Forte, and does Ramp Dragon even play enough minions for that have good value? It does affect spells and abilities too, but that seems pretty situational.

The funny thing is, Daria IS the girl on Dimension Shift, so she gets to claim multiple Rune archetypes all to herself!

D Shift might run the card anyway. Yeah, you have to discard your card to play it, but sometimes you don't draw your D Shift early enough and this gives you a second chance at that. The fact that it boosts everything by 5 gives you a head start on a late D Shift.

Purchasable starter decks confirmed (purchased with crystal premium currency):

Cost 500 crystals for first deck, 750 thereafter.

Example given for forest: https://www.facebook.com/shadowversegame/photos/a.1016653378409494.1073741828.897700890304744/1296019113806251/?type=3&theater

Looks like some legendaries will get alternate art, such as Ancient Elf in this deck.

I don't recall the exchange rate between crystals and actual money so I can't tell if that's a good deal or not. It's interesting to give new players some guaranteed starter legendaries though, although only 1 of each.

I'm personally indifferent to the starter decks. It's a good way to monetize the game without necessarily hurting its balance, and gives willing new players a good starting point for their most-liked crafts.

Also all Ro B cards have been revealed. I'll definitely try to make an Aggro Rune deck once it hits, especially with the Earth Rite tutor.
