So I've never actually seen the original film all the way through, so I wasn't too enthusiastic about this show. But after watching a few of the episodes if I happened to be home, and because nothing else was on, I really really like it.

The performances are good, the direction is good, and the writing is good. And way beyond that, the climax of episode 3 happening to air on the same day as the Trump tape is some sort of cosmic irony that is too funny for words.

There was also a fun little moment when Fathers Keane and Ortega prepare to battle The Salesman (which is an excellent name for a demon) and say 'pray for us' that was this great Badass Preacher moment-I'm not religious in any way but I find the show's depiction of faith to be sort of open-minded and even-handed.

I don't have high hopes for it, Friday night slot and all, but its worth a watch if you're into drama/psychological horror.

I am enjoying the show quite a bit. You should definitely see the original!
