We're not really in the business of gossiping about RL creators. I don't see this topic going anywhere particularly useful.

I'm not sure if this is the proper forum for this discussion.
Some actors, authors, directors and other are known for their so-called "twisted" works: Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream), Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Guts), Charlize Theron (too many roles to count), David Cronenberg (Crash (1996), Scanners), Jennifer Carpenter (Emily Rose, Quarantine), Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Audition), Chloe Moretz (again, too many to count), etc.
I have always wondered which of these creators had a real-life Dark and Troubled Past that manifested itself into the "warped" works or roles for which they are known, and which of them had, by all accounts, a relatively normal and uneventful childhood. The only one from the list that I *do* know about is Charlize Theron, whose dad was an alcoholic and beat her mom Gerda, who ended up shooting him in self-defense.
