So one day, I had a giant idea for a RWBY fanfic.
I cannot write to save my life.
So I'm posting my ideas here and laying everything out at the same time. Any feedback is appreciated.
PLEASE, feel free to shut me up if I'm polluting these forums. Or something. Am I allowed to post an entire thread just for this?

RWBY fanfic project: "NPES" (I'll come up with a better name later, promise!)
"When I left the White Fang, I left the family and friends I'd known my whole life." -Blake Belladonna.
An alternate continuity from volume 3, with a focus on an OC team, NPES, pronounced Naples, as in the colour Naples Yellow, as well as team RWBY after Beacon's fall.
The title team are actually 4 lieutenants under Adam's command (I simply used the school team naming convention for them), each with their own motivations for sticking it out with him, even after his sliding down the slippery slope. A beetle, rat, peacock and lion faunus respectively, to which I will post the character sheets for soon.
On the team RWBY side, the story mainly follows Yang with some Blake, and a bit of Ruby (as a part of term RNJR) and Weiss as they encounter the White Fang, NPES and Adam.
I'll be mostly posting ideas of events that'll occur in the story (as well as OC character sheets), although they will not be in chronological order (I'll do my best to make them though!), so I'll start with Yang's first steps into her story.
"Salutations..."
Still uncertain of how she'll move on from this point, Yang receives a parcel one day with Weiss’ name attached. In the letter provided, Weiss explains to Yang that Ironwood is still in hiding after the events of the Vytal Festival and Winter has temporarily taken his place. Weiss has pulled out all her connections in order to deliver the parcel to Yang, telling her absolutely not to open it until she’s ready.
Yang opens the parcel a crack, only to throw it onto the floor. An artificial right arm. Before Yang can sulk for too long, a robotic voice calls out to her. Then a hologram of Penny appears from inside the parcel. The hologram explains she is a prototype of the current Penny that couldn’t generate aura, and not the same person. Compared to Penny, the prototype seems much more robotic and cold. The right arm now belongs to Yang, and at least is compatible with aura (so Yang's own aura will give it the same protection as with her organic body). After some pre-programmed looping messages (courtesy of Weiss) from Prototype Penny, Yang finally attaches the arm, though not necessarily accepting it straight away...
“I know we’ve been good buddies, but talking to my right hand is really weird…” -Yang Xiao Long.
I don't suppose anyone would like to see more of this? I'll just slink back into the shadows if no-one wants to...
