The Howls of BSK-Sector, Paranoia the RPG

The four of you enter the main hallway and see Alvin-INN-1, the gruel cook from earlier. He glares at the four of you and raises his ladle menacingly. "So, you didn't like my gruel?" he snarls. "I got up at four in the morning cycle and slaved over a hot stove to make you that gruel, and you lot didn't even taste it?!?"

Alvin is an infrared class citizen, so you can kill him without upsetting Friend Computer. You can also try to talk with him or evade him.

Phoenix sighs at Alvin deciding to accost them with a ladle, and looks around for something he can throw to merely knock him out.

"Are you threatening someone above your clearance level, Alvin-INN-1? Perhaps we weren't hungry and wanted to attend to our duties as trouble shooters without delay."

The only thing Phoenix has right now is a laser pistol and his boots. In order to try to talk Alvin out of attacking, I'll need to know what SKILL and STAT you are using; for example, Beuracracy + Brains if you wanted to point out that attacking a higher level citizen is against the rules, or Intimidate + Chutzpah if you want to scare him away.

Phoenix didn't really like resorting to intimidation, but it was necessary seeing as he couldn't quite remember the exact rule he wanted to bring up. He reached for his laser pistol, trying to look as intimidating as possible.

1+chutzpah(1)+intimidate(0) equals two dice. Rolled a six and a five.

Alvin-INN-1 backs up, nervous. "I just worked really hard on that gruel, is all." He says, then sniffs back tears."It's not easy, being a cook. A little appreciation is all I wanted. All you had to do was at least taste it."

"Oh we would love to but when you are assigned a mission by Friend Computer you must waste no time. Friend Computer waits for no one after all!" Silence assures him smiling, "We'll come back for gruel when we finish our mission."

(Don't I have a -2 for Intimidate?)

Phoenix nods at Alvin, signalling his wise choice of action.

"Yes, Friend Computer's orders come first. We shall try to taste your gruel when we have the time."

"You promise?" Alvin says. "Well, good luck on the mission then."

Alvin starts to walk off. Where would you like to go now?

TO DO LIST:

• Requisition robot for team at MST-3-K-DAY

• Requisition general team supplies at Supply Depot NITE-N-DAY-M

• Contact secret society to find out what is going on at BSK Sector

• Report to Monorail Train Platform in one hour cycle.

Silence looks over the list with interest, he finds the part about requisitioning a robot to be quite interesting! He always wanted to build one to serve his whims.

Clayr checked the to-do list in her folder. She decided to assign things to people by their interest.

"Who here knows their way around this sector?"

Assign one person who knows their way around per group and then others for fairness.

Phoenix shook his head at his teammate's question.

"I don't know Alpha Complex very well. But obviously, with my programming skills, i should go requisition the robot."

He smirked a bit. It was true. He was one of the best when it came to programming.

Bastion and Clayr are the two best at Alpha Complex knowledge.

"Follow me." Bastion says in a deep monotone. He attempts to lead the group to BSK Sector.

(I'd roll, but I'm on mobile and the wi-fi here is ungodly slow.)

Bastion 6,6,4 heads toward the monorail station.

-bing- Greetings, citizen! Did you know that monorails are the safest form of travel between sectors, now that we've stopped trying to put multiple trains on the same track. Furthermore...

After five minutes of listening to Friend Computer spout train trivia, Bastion arrives at the monorail station. A monorail train is on the loading platform, doors open.

Silence follows Bastion closely.

Though it wasn't what she had planned, Clayr followed Bastion, figuring that going straight to the monorail might be a good idea. Missing a monorail was treason, after all.

Phoenix follows his comrade to the monorail station, yawning with boredom once again.

-click- All passengers, please finish boarding or unboarding the monorail now. This train will be departing in five minute cycles. This has been a recording. -click-

Looking into the monorail train on the boarding platform, you can see it is about half full with infrared, red, and even one or two orange citizens. If you're willing to ask a few infrared citizens to move, you can easily get four seats together. A VIP car on the train is set up for yellow citizens, and green or higher clearance tend to have private monorail cars or more elaborate forms of inter-sector transport.

The doors of the monorail train closes and it pulls away from the boarding platform, revealing an electronic signboard.

What would you like to do while waiting?

Phoenix finds himself holding out his hand and saying.

"Accio."

He can't shake the feeling why though, as it feels familiar.

The last door on the monorail train closes partway, stops, then snaps back open as if an invisible hand forced it open. Someone in a hurry to leave INN sector could try to jump onboard thee moving train.

On an unrelated note, Phoenix now has a headache.

Silence leaps towards the open door.

Phoenix also tries to jump onboard tge train despite his headache.

"Why did I try to do that...?"

Silence leaps for the monorail 2,3,2 and falls flat on his face. Pheonix also leaps 3,6,6,5,5 and makes the jump easily.
