Who wrote this lines? Honestly, the trailer looks good, but it sounds really, really bad....
Yeah the sound mixing is pretty bad and it makes it hard to understand what's going on. Also, with the release date it's a bad sign when it's being released with 4 other films on October 21st.
Strangely enough, it feels like a bad youtube re-edit of a trailer.
Visuals themselves don't seem all that bad, but I'm more accustomed to the adventure sports hero version of the 90's/00's instead of the aliens and cybersuit version.

What motivated Mattel to do this? I mean, Max Steel is one of the most obscure shows there is.

But the closest to a Superhero they have other than He-Man naturally. Also, of all the shows they have, Max Steel is actually one of the few which would actually work on the big screen if handled correctly. Most of their shows don't have enough substance to work as a movie.

I saw at least one review use that exact comparison. Right down to nobody seeing it and the studio not even bothering to promote it.
