So I'm wondering about Static Character... does it count if the character is perfectly static, but more and more of their development is revealed to the audience as the work goes on?
The character I'm thinking of is Iroh from Avatar The Last Airbender. He had his character development in the backstory. However, the Iroh from the beginning of the series and the one at the end are incredibly different. Not because he's changed, but because the audience has become privy to who he really is. Does he count as a static character when he's not static to the audience's view?
