Trope Codifier is a largely meaningless distinction, and in most cases it would be essentially impossible to identify the actual work.
As for the pantheon thing, it is just a forum game and nothing more.

A Trope Codifier is basically the template of a trope that most other (later) examples use. It's not something that's designated, or even present in all cases. It's just part of the history of the trope.
