Bit of a wall of text, but Dion and Val both have good points. And, small touch that it is, I like that the closeup of Dion shows his eyes rolling up into his head a bit. A lot of blind people have that quirk.

It's take us this long to create a thread topic? Sidekick Girl is a fairly long-running webcomic that follows Val Upton, the titular sidekick. Val wanted to be a hero. She gave up scholarships for mechanical engineering to attend school to become a superhero. However, she has two big problems, or rather inadequately great assets. Namely, her only superpower is largely being unable to die (but not able to heal much faster than a normal human being) and obsessive physical training, and she lacks that heroic build. Adding on to her problems, she's currently assigned to Mack, aka Illumina, a woman with the right pedigree and the right build, but fairly wimpy powers and a general lack of common sense. The strip is a combination of funny bits where Val points out the stranger bits of the universe she lives in and kvetches with her fellow sidekicks, and the consequences of living in a universe where superheroes are strictly controlled by unions and operate like a corporation with rules about image and procedure.
One of the more recent strips finally has a reasonable authority figure. It almost makes me suspicious how reasonable he's being, especially given how often we've seen politics override the public good in this universe.
